Can Teenagers change the world? Although, The Youth can have a serious impact in the world, in either a positive or negative manner. Most teenagers are thought of as lazy, moody troublemakers and are always being easily criticized by adults. The youth of today have a lot of optimism, they are creative problem solvers with immense potential to bring about positive social change in the world.

In a world full of pain and chaos, teenagers can imagine a better place through their optimism. Om Prakash Gurjar and Sonita Alizadeh are perfect examples of this, they both have used their optimism to fight for the rights of children in the past. Thanks to them, child cruelty is widely recognized compared to a few decades ago. They created a safer world for children to be raised and grow up in.
Om Prakash Gurjar stood against child slavery at the age of only 14-years-old, his optimism had a tremendous impact on the world, and it still does today. Sonita Alizadeh escaped her family who tried to sell her off into marriage twice as a young girl. She is a rapper as well as a human rights activist, she spreads awareness around parents selling their daughter off to men almost double their age in her raps. They see suffering and try to make sense of the world as it is but can also see how it can be better.

Over the past few decades, we have seen the power of teenagers' creative problem-solving skills and how it can have a positive effect on the world. Take Kelvin Doe as an example, he used small pieces of trash from a local dump to make generators and radios for his village. Like Jack Andraka, he built a detection system that detects pancreatic and ovarian cancers at only the age of 15. Both these teenagers had nothing, but created things to benefit masses of people. That really shows what the youth of today is capable of.

Teenagers care about social justice more than anyone else, they know to stand for what is right. Malala Yousafzai is an exceptional example of the youths focus on human rights. At the age of only 15, she managed to change the world forever. Malala fought for the basic rights of girls and their rights to an education. While doing this, Malala was shot by the Taliban in hopes that it would kill her and stop the apparent chaos she was causing. She managed to survive the injury. Today, she is still slowly, but surely altering the world to become a fair and safer world for girls to be born into, grow up in and succeed in.

Young people possess ideas, creativity, and the tremendous energy to create a better world. They are just often underestimated and not given a real chance to prove people wrong. We are the future.
