All Dressed Up...
When you picture the ideal prom scene, there are probably a set of stairs and a beautiful dress, a corsage in a nice pastel, and a hot ride. But for some, This dream is one that could end in tragedy; many schools do not allow homosexual prom dating. Two beautiful dresses were wasted in Appledale, FL., in 1999. Elle* and Amery* were a lesbian couple that had been dating exclusively for six months. The girls got denied the priveledge of a prom picture and were told that they were "dancing too provocativetly for conditions". These girl's once-in-a-life-time experience was ruined, as are hundreds of others yearly. I think that anyone who wants to dance at a high school party should be allowed to move in rythm with any other person, no matter their gender, orientation, race or otherwise.
