I believe in dreams
"Dream what you want to dream.Go where you want to go.Be what you want to be,because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do." - Shero Shayari
I believe in reaching for the stars.
I believe you should never be complacent. Everybody has a chance to do something great with their life and to make a difference. In Langston Hughes's poem "Dream Deferred" or Harlem, Hughes tells us of what happens to dreams when they are put on hold. Hughes deliberately meant for the poem to focus on the dreams of African-Americans in particular because he originally entitled the poem Harlem. One could easily read this work as being just about dreams with no exact group in mind and what happens when people postpone making them come true. When we are young we are told to follow are dreams, hold on tight to them so they can come a reality. My dream is to become a famous writer one day. To be the best author in history. I had this dream ever sense I was in third grade and I read dreams by Langston Hughe's (for the first time), wait scratch that. He inspire me to be a poet, that was step one of making my dream come true. The person who inspire me to become a writer was James Patterson. He is the number one New york times best seller and the second best author in American.
I remember when i was little I use to write about everything. In fourth grade I got my first short story, Lost Web publish (school wise). Every one in the school said it was a great story. This inspired me more to pursue this dream. Ever sense i stayed with a pen and note book in hand. There is not a day where you won't see me in class writing up a storm while every one else is doing something the teacher handed out.
Last year I entered a poem of mind called Black rose in to a poetry contest, I was one of ten people who won a grand prize. I never received the prize, but I didn't care just knowing my poem was good enough to be good to win a contest was all I wanted to know. I've been chasing this same dream for seven years now and with all my hard work and dedication I know one day it will come true, and if not the journey was fun. I've learned so much about myself and see the world in a different way. "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." that's what Henry David Thoreau say, and I agree. Believe in your dreams don't let no one try to tell you it will never happen because they are wrong.
This I believe.
