Spanish
Spanish...the very word frightens me. It puts my heart to work in a double shift.
Spanish. Learning another language makes me worried. Will I remember? Will I remember it on top of English?
Spanish. I can't understand anything. El? Ella? Como te llamas? What is that?
Why can't I understand anything? Why do I seem like the black sheep in this class? The phrases don't make sense.
As the week passes, we learn the Spanish Alphabet...some phrases. Como te llamas (What's you name), Como estas (How are you), and saying responses.
Looking ahead, I see something familiar. Is that..? A word I can finally recognize? I can't believe it... I... I can do it.
It isn't so hard as I thought... I can pass this class... and learn to speak Spanish at the same time.
I can do this.
