Foxes are supposed to be cunning, but I changed my mind about them after reading the story, "Fantastic Mr. Fox."

He is able, careful, smart, and brave. He is an amazing dad. The story says that there are three owners of the farm. They are Boggis，the owner of the chicken farm；Bunce, the owner of the duck and goose farm；and Bean, the owner of the turkey farm and the apple orchard. Mr. Fox often steals from these farms, they all hate Mr. Fox very much. They shoot off Mr. Fox's tail and dug holes to try and find him. . But the clever Mr. Fox soon found the chicken coop, the big barn, and the cider cellar. The small animals underground, are given a big meal, and the farmers are still waiting for them to starve to death. The characteristics of father fox in this story impress me deeply.

Optimistic. Mr. Fox sacrificed a beautiful tail to feed his wife and children. When the tail was cut off, the fox thought optimistically that he was lucky to be alive. In the face of life danger, he is still so optimistic. We may suffer a lot of difficulties in learning and studying but compared to the fox family we are much luckier. So, we have to be as optimistic and confident as Mr. Fox.

Wit and courage. The fox father in the text can smell the enemy from far away. It is dangerous to go out, but he knows how to live with danger. He is also very careful and tries his best to avoid being hurt. Thus he can avoid the enemy again and again. In our life, we should learn from father fox too. We should learn about dealing with problems, how to be more clever and calmer. When the three farmers try every way to dig out the fox family, or even starve them, the fox father never panics. He leads the family to remain calm and thinks of the solution actively. Finally, the fox family won the victory.

Be united and helpful. The book said that Mr. Fox and his children were trapped in their burrow for several days. But they finally dig out of the tunnel for food after working hard.  During the process of tunneling，Mr. Fox planned to share the food with other animals. He is so unselfish. The badger also used his advantage of digging holes and helped Mr. Fox to get a lot of food. In a few words, we need to learn from father fox. The united strength is great and the strength of one team is endless which will lead to the victory.
