My eyelids fighting the urge to close, “One more plane ride,” my mom softly whispers to me. No matter how many last-minute downloaded movies I glare at, there was no way that I wasn't going to complain after a 21 hour flight.

45 hours later of compassionate complaining, I finally made it. Standing in front of me, the boundless, breathtaking landscape of blue. My body, almost statue-like, couldn't move, there was nothing I could do except be mesmerized by the high dancing sea.

Frozen in the comforting, powdery, scorching sand I felt a call.

It was as if the ocean was crying to my curious, adventure filled spirit.

Tightly holding the paddle board to my body, it was as if a magnet was pulling me towards the luminous body of blue.

The attraction pulled me closer and closer until I felt a cold gentle tickling engulf my calf. It was as if I was sinking, the way the ocean pulled me deeper and deeper.

“Come in, it's getting late,” my parents shout from the shore.

There's not a chance that I was paddle boarding for that long!

Leaving feels like departing a friend's house after a hang-out, the adventure and memories felt like they could go on forever.

My body drenched, and my eyelids filled with tears from the saltwater, I felt revived, reinvigorated, even though my eyelids were fighting the urge to close.
