When someone says the name Ian, it reminds me of blue. Blue like the sky, never knowing how far it really goes. I think of stars as to where the conversation could go with so many possibilities and unlimited combinations. Will this high tide conversation bring me happy memories or feelings of doing the right thing or a low tide where I hear sad news or need to keep that information to myself. The conversations come and go like waves but always leave a mark of erosion in my brain.
When I hear the name Randall, I think of gray dull like a pencil. I don't know why but I've never liked the name Randall even though I love my grandpa I'm named after. Maybe it's because every time i hear it I know I'm in trouble. But deep down I believe I do like the name, It’s gray like a rock solid and strong.
When I hear the name Roberts I see the color red because it reminds me of strength, And what I have to live up to. It reminds me of the battles I've fought through life and the victories to come. When I hear the name Roberts I feel pride to have that name and to continue on.
