Caroline...
Caroline, where are you?
I remember her, each memory as clear as a video. I miss the times we sat in the van and listened to her I-pod. She was in eight grade that time and I in third. But we understood each other like we had known each other forever.
But she’s somewhere else now and I somewhere else, and no matter how hard I try, I’m never going to hear her voice again. I remember, how she got me the lyrics of ‘Mamamia’ and Shania Twain’s ‘Gonna getcha good’
And every time I listen to the song ‘Numb’ I feel as if a part of me has been ripped out. Because Caroline is a part of me, a part that I shall never know again, in this birth or the next.
