If I had a dollar
Justin Hong’s poem, “If I had a dollar,” was very well written. In this poem Justin explains how he misses someone very close to his heart yet far from his home. It’s a very cute but short love story.
I can relate to this poem because I had a boyfriend that lived far away from my home town too. He only lived 30 miles away though. Justin lives 244 miles away from them. In the poem it says, “If I had a dollar for every mile that separates us I’d have 244.” That’s how I know they live 244 miles apart.
He says they met three years ago and wishes for them every birthday he had since they met. I found this a very cute and touching piece of work.
