The Best Idea Ever
It had been a very long month of December. Jewel jumped up and down, she couldn’t wait for Christmas and school break was finally here.“Chloe Chloe” cried Jewel. “We're free we're free!” Chloe was Jewel's best friend. They had been best friends since grade school, they did everything together they were best friends and nothing could ever come between them. When a good movie came out , they were the first ones to go not only that they told each other everything no matter what. When one of them liked a boy the other was the first to know. They had problems of course. One time they both liked the same boy and got in a fight over him. They decided that their friendship was worth more then a boy and made up. They wanted there friendship to last as long as possible. But first they had to figure things out. They thought to themselves we have to get along if were going to live together. They then got spectacular information that was much needed.
“Jewel, I just found out my mom has to go out of town for a week or more around Christmas for her stupid job, my Christmas is ruined!” Cried Chloe.
“Oh that sucks what are you going to do?” Jewel asked. Chloe told Jewel about her moms plan to drag her along on her out of town job and how she would be staying a hotel for Christmas. While she is there she plans on going to the mall that is there and she will more then likely be going out to eat every night while she is here which isnt really fair but she didn’t care she was worried about her daughter. She is not only staying in a hotel she is staying in one of the best hotels there. That was when the two best friends hatched a plan. She thought about how she was going to figure things out. She was going to use everything she could think of to get Chloe to stay with her Jewel was getting worried and you could see the look on her face she was puzzled on how she was going to get her over..
“Why don't you stay with me over Christmas break?” Asked Jewel.
“What would your mom say?” Said Chloe.
“Do you think she'd go for it?” Remarked Jewel.
“I don’t know, what would your mom say?”
“Would she be upset because you wont be with her for Christmas?” Asked Jewel.
So the two girls went home that night full of plans. They thought about just the right way to ask their parents, they used every trick they could think of. Chloe made her mom feel guilty and Jewel made her mom feel sorry for Chloe. They thought about it for a long time they thought so hard they found themselves just staring with blank faces at each other.
“It worked!” Chloe texted Jewel.
“I did it I can stay with you after my mom talks to your mom.” Chloe Exclaimed.
Chloe showed up the next day with her suitcase, her favorite blanket and pillow. That’s how the best Christmas ever started for the two best friends. The first day of Christmas vacation started pretty good. They went to see a new 3-D movie that just started. The movie was so sweet it was so bright and there were many colors and it actually felt like we were in the movie it wasn't only colorful it was funny I honestly thought that the things in this movie was going to come at me. It was so good they talked about it the rest of the day, that night in bed they kept remembering how things came at them In the theater and the floating bubbles that were so close you could almost pop them as though it seemed.”
“We should go see that again tomorrow.” Chloe said.
“No we need to save our money to go Christmas shopping.” Jewel said.
“Your right.” Chloe said.
“I need to get you a Christmas present, what do you want?” Chloe also remarked.
“Surprise me.” Jewel said.
The next day they decided to go to the mall they went there not only Christmas shopping for them they wanted to get something for there moms. Jewel mom had then dropped them off and called Three hours girls and then meet me out front when they got done shopping. The two girls looked at each other with sparkling eyes their eyes were sparkling so bright they were almost glaring off of the cars.
“Three hours on our own in the greatest place in the world, Wow!” Cried Chloe.
Together they explored the mall, it was packed with shoppers, mothers with kids, groups of boys and grandmas with loaded shopping bags. They both saw the perfect pair of boots at the same time and course they both wanted them after all the different shops they had went too the both liked the same exact boots. The boots were blue and leather. They started to argue, it kinda got loud, and people were starting to stare. Chloe was usually the quiet one of the pair and Jewel was the leader but amber really liked those boots She would've done anything for them boots. Jewel knew those boots were just perfect for Chloe they were even the right size for her and everything.
“I’m leaving,” Cried Chloe.
“You always have to get your way don’t you.” Jewel said.
“You big baby I saw them first jeez.” Jewel also remarked.
Then walked away from each other. Chloe walked around the mall by herself.
“That selfish girl all she cares about is herself,” Thought Chloe.
After she cooled down she started thinking maybe she'd been wrong, after all Jewel had
invited her for Christmas and that wasn't selfish at all.
After their fight Jewel stomped around the mall for awhile thinking “Why did I invite amber to spend Christmas with me I figured things would be different I thought she would act and treat me different.” My Christmas is ruined because she has to be a brat but I then thought you know I had some what to do with this fight I had to figure something out too do I wasn’t just gonna let our friend ship get away this easy.. She always has to throw a fit about everything when I never do that but I did have a lot too do with it maybe as much as she did. Maybe Chloe is right, maybe I am selfish. ”
The girls met in front of the mall when the three hours were up. They both started talking at the same time. They both had a lot to say to each other. They not only both felt horrible about the fight they had to realize and look past the past any move on they didn’t wanna just be stuck in the past they wanted to be done with it. They both had a lot to say but wasn't sure how to tell each other.
“I'm sorry.” Cried Chloe.
“No I was wrong to treat my best friend like that” Cried Jewel.
They laughed and hugged and laughed some more. Jewel's mom pulled up and said “My, you girls just looked at each other and laughed.” If she only knew. They both thought.
The week passed quickly getting along with each other finally. They watched videos, played games, sledded in the snow while sledding they were laughing and giggling and felt like they had never had so much fun in their life. At night the whispered secrets and dreams to each other about the movie and even about the boys they had been talking to they had such random conversations even. When Christmas morning arrived they excitedly ran to the bright shinning Christmas tree and started tearing open the brightly wrapped gifts they were big and they were small and some were fat and some were small. Jewel handed Chloe the present she she got her and Amber and did the same, they smiled at each other and started ripping.
“Wow” Shouted Chloe.
“Oh my gosh!” Shouted Jewel.
Two pair of blue and leather boots peeked out of each boxes and the girls both had huge smiles on their faces. “We had the same best idea ever!” The girls cried.
