Life Capturers
Vibrant colors are grasped through a clear film. Images are captured without even requiring a touch. Through this lens, the world can be seen through alternate perspectives. Moving objects can be processed second by second to form a fluid stream of motion. Lights and shadows can be detected to portray a sense of depth and shape. Scenes are set out before us that can be captured through space. No wires connected and no contact required for these hues to be depicted into full images. Within simply a black hole, these colors flow through this system and spur feeling and thoughts created from the image that these colors represent. Different for each person through varying impacts, perspectives, and experiences that all file into the depiction of these colors that were captured, almost magically, through thin air.
While this would be fascinating enough were it an invention of man, an external device for capturing such images. What I find incredibly fascinating is that what I have described is an organic feature. The eye.
Each eye of every creature is unique. Each eye of every creature sees life slightly different from every other eye. Made up of parts that seem incapable of such majestic results; the eye transforms a disorganized mysterious world into a kaleidoscope of beauty and poise.
Most people take their eyes for granted. But I see something different. I see a small organ that permits me to appreciate all that the universe has to offer. I see a spherical collection of magnificently colored specks making up an iris surrounding a black hole, the pupil, through which colors are captured and processed into what we perceive as life.
These miracles we were all gifted with by essence of being creatures on this planet, these life capturers, these eyes are often overlooked, but I see things differently- but then again, isn’t that the beauty of eyes?
