Ode To Mid-Terms MAG
Sleep is the elective,
That I forget to take.
Worried about my courses,
And the grades I have to make,
I walked into my classroom,
With a smile that screamed, "Fake!"
I never ever dreamed
What a nightmare this would be.
Creeping up behind my back,
My mid-terms startled me.
All hail the sacred books!
Adore on bended knee!
A steady beat,
Of one sixteenth,
The pages flip and flip.
The clock is tocking,
Ceaselessly mocking
My slowly closing eyes.
I begin to nod asleep,
On the pages despised.
If I should die
Before I wake,
That's one less test
I'll have to take.
