“WHAT THE HELL?” I looked up. A white pick up truck suddenly turned as we were going strait. Joey slammed on the breaks. I closed my eyes and jolted forward. I heard a loud crash and that was it.

The gas from the airbags tore at my eyes and my lungs. I couldn't breathe. I couldn’t see. I just knew to get out of the car. Once I was out I pulled out my phone, dialed 911 and made sure everyone else was out of the car and safe.

The police and EMT arrived. We were all okay. I had no idea what road I was on and I was too hysterical for the 911 operator to understand me. After a few tries she told me help was on the way. I looked back. The white pickup truck was on its side. I shot my sister a look. I had no idea if they were hurt or even dead. People stopped by to see how we were. Elli, Joey, and I were all totally fine. I felt sick and had an awful pain in my chest, I knew the pain was from the anxiety of the event. The cop told us how the driver was leaving with “New bracelets” or handcuffs. We later learned the driver had been drunk. Policemen began to question us;

“What happened?”
“What is your  full name and date of birth?”
“Who was driving?”
“Are you okay?”
“Where are your parents?”

My mind wandered away from their questions; I pulled my sweatshirt over my hands and wrapped my hands around my waist. I wasn’t really aware of what had happened; all I knew was I was okay, and so was everyone else.
