Educator of the Year

            Imagine having a teacher that is kind and you can always count on. Mrs. Kristin Lester from Harlan Independent School should get Educator of the Year. Mrs. Lester  should be Educator of the Year because she has a great style of teaching, her home life  makes her a better teacher, and she has affected me as a student.

            Mrs. Lester’s way of teaching gets the students interested in the lesson. For example, when she teaches lesson to us she makes sure we understand it clearly. This shows that, Mrs. Lester cares about our learning. So, that we can grow in our learning process and get better grades. Therefore, Mrs. Lester way of teaching makes the student better than before.

            Furthermore, her home life makes her a better teacher. For example, she is very patient with us and she understands that everyone goes through something hard in life. Mrs. Lester is patient because she has two children of her own and knows that we can get out of hand once in a while. Also, Mrs. Lester knows that some people have problems in life and when she knows someone like that she comforts them like her own children. Therefore, Mrs. Lester home life makes her a great teacher.

            Mrs. Lester has had a great affect on my life. In addition, when she teaches a lesson she compares them to real life situation. When she does this she helps me understand what could happen in the world. By doing this Mrs. Lester has taught me that many things in the world could impact my life. Thus, having Mrs. Lester as my teacher has had a great affect on my life.

            I remember the time that Mrs. Lester cried in my class. She did this because my whole class wrote thank you notes to her and her crying showed how much she appreciated us. In other words Mrs. Lester should get Educator of the Year for her great teaching style, the way her home life makes her a better teacher, and they was she has impacted my life. I really think Mrs. Lester should get the award.
