What Limits?
I am
A Black Queen
I am
One who can accomplish anything
I am
Someone who was once restricted by the lingering ways of an old society
I am
A child of God
I am
A unique being who can go as far as I will allow myself to go
I am
One who once allowed my disbelief in myself to limit what I can achieve
I am
Sick and tired of not making it permissible for myself to live freely
I am
Never going to let the thoughts of others put manacles on my mental and physical capabilities
I will
Always express the real me regardless of the pedestals others are on
I will
Take a vow to always be truthful to myself
I will
Always remember that I can attain any dream manifested in my imagination, because if God can take Obama there theres no limit to what He can do for me
If He
Can allow the Black man who once was disgraced 60 years ago to gain the most honorable profession in America
If He
Can change others mindsets from hatred to love
From resistance to acceptance
From disbelief to admiration
If He
Can allow Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream to come alive
If He
Can make the marches, suffrage, lost lives, and nights of tears of my people not be in vain
If He
Can reverse something that seemed nearly impossible for the minds of American's to fathom
If He
Can allow one man to have such an influence as to inspire all of various backgrounds
Then...
He can do ANYTHING for me
