How to Make a Grilled Cheese
Becca Sellers, a 17 year old girl from Hartland Wisconsin, has been making grilled cheese since she was 7 years olds with her Mom.”I've made hundreds of grilled cheese in my life” says Sellers. Her favorite memory was actually the first time she made grilled cheese with her mom. After that day she said she felt excited and felt very accomplished that she could now make her favorite food on her own with parental supervision.
Currently Sellers’ favorite type of grilled cheese is mozzarella pesto on sourdough bread. To make this, she starts out by buttering both sides of the bread so that you can have a nice, crispy grilled cheese. Then you load in whatever topping you want in your grilled cheese and start to cook it. There are endless combinations of things to put in a grilled cheese. It is easy to let it cook too long causing it to burn so Sellers recommends paying attention and only cooking it for around 3-4 minutes, keeping in mind that the second side cooks faster than the first. While it is cooking make sure to add pepper on the outside of the bread for more flavor. After taking it off the pan Sellers says all that is left to do is enjoy the delicious grilled cheese and placate your hunger.
