The album I believe I have the most connection with is by Eminem, I believe everyone has a type of music they like you have most likely connected with some sort of music. I don't have just one album I have a playlist of all his big albums from his oldest to the newest. When you listen to the music you can almost feel the time change, he explains the problem he has in his older music and with the newer music he talks about how everything is going good. When he talks about some of his problems he had you can be like “oh I have gone through that”. It's crazy how some of his music makes you feel like running in the pouring rain but most of it makes you wanna dance like no one's watching also go play basketball.

When I'm with my friends and family I can play his music and we all can sing along. My mom doesn't like his newer music but she likes his older songs that she listened to when she was my age. Her favorite song is “Like Toy Soldier”. I remember one certain time we listened to the song it was during the summer it was hot out we had the windows down and we were on the high way it was like the rees where dancing to I had the Bluetooth in the car on so we were both singing the music made me happy.

The problem I normally have when I listen to my music my mom says it sucks Its like her ears are bleeding from it. So it's cool that we both can agree Eminem is a good rapper and she likes his music too. The song “Mockingbird” is a song that all my friends and I know word for word and we love singing it. When I go with my dad he has one of his albums in his car and we will listen to it. I remember a long time ago my dad had this old music player it was silver and was in a black case it was cool for me think that music could play out of it all you did was plug in headphones and listen to music and I believe that was the first time I heard Eminem. Then when I got my first iPod which was an awesome feeling one of the best gifts. I remember how happy I was when I opened that gift I was so excited I felt like a million bucks. I hugged my mom and Adam so hard and was saying thank you my brother was jealous.

That when I first listened to him on my own, also some hits from the 2000s.  Lyrics I think have the best meaning are first “I'm standing up Imma face my demons I'm manning up Imma hold my ground” from song “Not Afraid”. I think when he says that he’s explaining he is getting over the people that told him he couldn't make it. Lyrics  “there’s no mountain I can't climb there’s no tower too high no plane I can’t learn how to fly” from the song “My Dad’s Gone Crazy” I believe in this lyric he’s saying that he can overcome anything and you can make a connection on that and say you can too. One more meaning full lyric is “from the beginning, it wasn’t about the ends. It was about busting raps and standing for something” song “Survival” with this lyric it is saying how he wasn't doing all this rap for someone else it was for him he loved it. You can make a connection by understanding do what you believe in.

When i heard his music i knew i felt a connection I just got the feeling that I understand what's happening what he's going through.  How you make connections with music maybe different you know it's a good connection when it can make you feel excited, in the blues and hyped in one album. The way I feel connected is that when I hear his songs the beat really gets me going feeling happy-sad,some of his music just makes you get up not be lazzy I hope he comes out with another album soon. That's my album and a few songs I really like by Eminem.
