Two Summers Ago

Two summers ago, June 16, 2017. I flipped my four wheeler upside down in three feet of water. This is how it all went down. My dad, his cousin Mike, and another cousin Mike, my cousin Kyle, cousin Kevin, and I were four wheeling in Black River Falls. When we got out on the trails, there was a lot of water everywhere. Huge puddles making you soaking wet every time you went through one. It was all fun and games until I came around this one corner, where I flipped my four wheeler on top of me into three feet of water. When I went into the corner there was a huge puddle, like a lagoon, I hit the throttle, my tired got stuck in ruts and over my handlebars, I went. I was completely soaked from head to toe. I brought my head up and my four wheeler hit the back of my helmet and back down my head went. I stood up, crying, just completely shook. By the time I stood up, my dad was right there asking me if I was okay. I kept saying I’m sorry, I’m sorry because I thought my four wheeler was ruined. I told my dad I was okay. Now everyone else in the group had turned around and was back with us. We got my four wheeler out of the water and Mike pulled me to the next parking lot. We drained all of the water out of my four wheeler and headed back to the trailer. Once we loaded up the four wheelers and got back to the campground I noticed my arms were all bruised up, and my chest was kinda sore. I had a big bruise on my chest from my handlebar. But I was fine. I kept telling dad to not tell mom, I thought she wouldn’t let me go four wheeling anymore, but that night dad called mom and told her. She wasn’t upset, she was just glad that I was okay.
