Truck

I’ve been working since I was 9. I’ve been doing lawn care for awhile and the work pays off. I've been saving up the money that I worked for. I saved up enough to buy my own truck that cost $800 and I loved that truck. I sold it to this guy who stopped by, he said he needed this truck. He asked me, “how much you want for it?” and I told him, “I'll be happy with $1,500 but the lowest i’ll go is $1,100.” Then he said, “alright let me call my boss because it’s payday so I'm going to ask for my paycheck”.

His boss came to give him some money and he handed me the $1,100, and that is honestly the most money I’ve ever had on hand so I was extremely happy to have all this money. I actually felt rich even though I wasn’t. It was a great truck and I’m going to miss it because it was my first truck and it was one of the easiest trucks to work on. You’ll find the bad parts on the truck like for example, say you need a new radiator. You need to find all the bolts to take out, and you’ll find them all in seconds unlike these new vehicles you need to take off covers and stuff to get to what you’re looking for.

It was a 1994 Chevy Silverado and I’ll only have a Chevy vehicle. You’ll never see me in something else like a Ford or a Ram. It was hard saving up because half the time I had to help my parents out with bills and food because my dad had a broken hip so he wasn’t working for a few months but my parents said they’ll eventually pay me back so when they do, I’m going to put that money towards my next vehicle.
