The dead silence moment before the life changing moment. I didn’t know to either cry or scream. I was full of crazy emotions inside. All the parents biting their nails seeing what’s about to happen.

             I am in south Carolina for the biggest and hardest games we have played.  I Knew this last game was going to be one of the hardest games out there. I woke up its 6:50 In the morning feeling very ready for the game that is coming. I stopped at Starbucks for some breakfast. Now we are on our way to the game. Three other teammates and I were there at the fields. Adam, Ortiz, Eric and I were watching the other team warmup and we knew there was going to be some serious competition between us. We were ready for a fight.

            GSA Georgia Soccer Academy. This was our last and final game of the weekend. This is a game everyone is watching. The first team in Georgia against the first team in Florida. GSA has some very fast, talented, and skilled players, but so do we and better.  I am identifying very single player on there team. I am a 100 percent ready to destroy this team. I’m telling Ortiz this is going to be a very hard game so be ready.

As the game starts the other team is on top of us but we fight back. Them having a lot of good opportunities but we also did too.  This is a very close game both teams fighting with everything we have. Me at defense stopping everything that comes through.

Me yelling “Everyone STEP UP” so we could step out of our half and pressure them.

            We are all pressuring and as we see there ball movement.

Adam yells at me and says “Tomas watch the long ball.”

            Now I see the through ball and I am ready to defend it. We were scanning there game the whole time. And surprising them with many attacks but we could not finish most of our shots.  We new it was time we put one in. There is ten minutes left in the game and the score is still zero to zero. The last ten minutes is when we stepped up and took charge of the game.

            “Christian pass me the ball,” Adam said. Adam takes the ball down the field. Pedro starts making a run toward goal.

            “SEND ME THROUGH SEND ME THROUGH” Pedro yells.

            Adam having all the pressure to send a good ball so we could change this game. Pedro running down the field to get the ball. He is one on one with the goal keeper. Bam he drives by the keeper with a wide open net. Pedro scored the goal. Everyone is going crazy the fans are jumping on the field. Coaches jumping on top of players. While this is happening we feel like we are kings in another world. That nothing else in the world matters but the game. At this moment I knew that God chose a path for me that has to do with me playing soccer.
