“Six.”
Hanging on to the bar, my fingers gradually turn white, blisters forming. Using the last of my strength, I pull myself up – only to fall again.
“Seven.”
I’m faltering, I’m hurting, I’m slipping. Mustering the last of my strength, I pull.
“Eight.”
Once the descent happens, I let go.
But this fall is different. It is not one of weakness, but one of recovery and growth. After trying for a month, I hit a new personal record.
Finally hit the ceiling, I push it further up, but just still in reach.

This piece inspires me to push myself past my limits. Slowly but surely, I'll continue to grow and my peak will continue to climb. The only limiting factor is success is yourself, so overcome it.
