To Who I Was, this is who I am now.                                                                                  I’ve made many mistakes along the way, and I’d give my soul for a single change. You’re young, you’re bright, a whole life ahead. Just try to enjoy it; don’t be eager to join the dead. And while you may think that being an adult is great, take it from fifteen-year-old me, wishing I could’ve enjoyed childhood before it was too late. I have almost two years before the day of adulthood comes, and I say to you, enjoy life while it’s fun. You may think that life is horrible, full of pain and suffering. I remind you to realize that what you’re experiencing now is muffling my words of wisdom, as it does get better. I don’t know if we’ll be successful, but I know now that it’s all up to you.

I’ll try to cut this short, even though you like to read. My advice for you: Listening to your head, not your heart, is what you need. Don’t doubt yourself, and don’t make that mistake. See what’s in front of you, what you have on your plate. She loves you, and if you truly love her, you’ll do your best to ensure that it works. Resist the temptations, and don’t be a clown. Because there will come a day when love won’t be around. They’ll label you, branded forever as a pain. “Dangerous,” “not normal,” words that make me want to cleanse myself in the rain. I’m sure you do that too, as we’re one and the same. My final words to who I was in the past: hold onto love, and greatness. If you do, they will last. There are many things I can never change, and if I could, I think I'd just stay the same.

For the writing contest.

This is a letter to my past-self, reminding him to listen to his head, not his heart, and to continue aspiring for greatness. I made many mistakes in the past, but most of them were imperative for my development and for what kind of person I am now, which is why if I had the chance to fix them, I'd only fix one and learn from the rest.
