Picture Memories
The pain, it hurts so deeply,
The memories bounded inside of me,
His imprint still firm upon me,
And I cannot let go, I'm sorry.
Hidden within my heart
are 'picture memories' like art.
Like true works, they’re beautiful and mystifying
And then yet, they’re painful and agonizing
The ghosts of what you and I were
haunts me, wounds me, is there a cure?
Something to erase the memories
that toy my mind inside of me
For you know not who you are
You whose memories of me have gone far
you who cannot ever recall
any thoughts of "us" at all.
As now, as then, there's only you, not I
In your heart and in your mind
I won't ask you to remember me
as the dead dont ask for renewed memories
And you, I must let go
‘cause my side’s story, is one you'll never know.
With a heavy laden heart,
I bid you most ardently bye,
My dearest picture memories
Fade now, beloved, loved history
