Ten Unofficial Siblings
They are the only ones who understand me. I am the only one who understands them. Ten unofficial siblings with a strong connection. Ten who live far apart but are close in the heart. Ten who are the first friends’ people have as children. From the house you can see us, frolicking in the sun, but no one knows our plan of action.
Our schemes are secret. We have our own language. We flee to the back room and sneak outside and create concerts and play games and carry on until the wolf howls. This is our day.
Let one forget his reason for being, we’d all support each other like geese, taking over as one falls. Fly, fly, fly they shout when I’m down. They encourage.
When I want a fun-filled day, when I miss my life-long best friends, then I find my unofficial siblings. When drama fills this side of town. Ten who don’t judge. Ten who always stand by my side. Ten who I cannot live without.
