Teecoo!!! The thundering of our shotguns was the noise my cousin John and I were planning on hearing that day. John came earlier that day, and while skateboarding, we spotted a bunch of geese out on my lake. We decided to go duck hunting. We went out into woods to get closer to the lake, and there we saw the perfect fallen oak that could be used as a blind. We cut down a few young cedar trees to use to build a bridge over to the tree so we could get to it in high tide. Dead branches and trees were used to construct walls so we could hide. For more natural camo we took cattails and put them around it and weaved them in and out the sticks. So after an hour of building we went in to get all suited up and to grab our guns. We climbed up into our duck blind and they were still there. YES!! We exclaimed, it was a perfect day for it to perfect weather the water was all glassy perfect, except one part the ducks were still swimming. So after fifteen minutes of us watching these ducks just swim around we start we started to get frustrated so we started throwing stick towards them to startle them to get them to fly. Nothing, so we shot off a random shot to try to scare them. It worked, kinda; they flew like a whole total five feet. That wasn’t enough to get a good ethical shot on them. Now we are irritated by the geese so we got out on my kayaks to paddle to them, but by then they already flew away. Our luck! So we finished the day with fishing off my dock and swimming in my pool.
