There is a reason why they call it “Writer’s Block”. It’s like a boulder in the middle of a road: no car can get past it and no machine can take it down. The sole thing that can make this boulder disappear is inspiration. The definition of inspiration is the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something. The struggle of a writer is to find it. I always have trouble writing because of “Writer’s Block”. Once I am stuck on a sentence or word, I automatically just “quit”. To be inspired is quite the journey even though it doesn't appear so.

The frustration slowly built inside of me. Each stroke of my rubber eraser against my white lined-paper triggered my anger. “This is so stupid!” I said to myself. My mind kept telling me to just give up on writing the essay and just take the F. “I need to start fresh,” I muttered under clenched teeth. For me, it’s better to restart the process of transferring ideas onto paper. I picked up my pencil, which is warm from all the friction caused between my hands and the wood. As I was writing my essay again, I began to realize that something was wrong. Something made me immediately regret the whole idea of “starting all over”. The same confusing paragraphs were imprinted onto my paper, just like before. The frustration returned from its short vacation, and began to enrage me. “I am so done!” I yelled.

A couple of hours had passed. I became focused, and obtained the will of trying again. I walked over to turn on my laptop, and opened up Google. “What’s the key to writing a good, detailed, essay?” I typed in the search bar. I was feeling quite ecstatic. While the website loaded, I thought of how foolish it actually was to be sitting down and searching “how to write” on the internet. Moments later, the thought quickly vanished once I was greeted with a plethora of information on my question. I pick up my pencil, and I begin to write.

Words filled my paper from top to bottom. My hands were cramping from all the writing I had accomplished. I felt assertive for the words just kept on flowing like a river. My fingers had residue from my pencil lead. My previous actions that I had done as a result of frustration had seemed senseless. Alas, the moment I had been anticipating on had arrived: my essay was complete. A decent amount of paragraphs, details, and a hint of extended vocabulary were the elements to my “masterpiece”.

Writer’s Block is just a common aggravation for everyone. The boulder in the middle of the road had turned into a pebble, and anything could crush it. Inspiration was the sole thing that made it the way it was. Inspiration is information. Writing always finds its way, no matter how many tantrums from Writer’s Block it takes.
