Letting Go
How do you know when it’s time to let go? Is it when the conversations start to get shorter? Or is it when the smiles get fainter? I think in relationships, couples stand on brinks of ice and as soon as something bad happens, a tiny crack appears and slowly melts it away. The ice will keep cracking and melting and while all of this happens they are being pulled apart from each other with their differences. The people just keep standing on the ice thinking that nothing bad will happen… until it breaks completely.
In their minds, they were probably thinking, “How did I not see this coming ?’’ and “I thought this was the one.” What they don’t know about this situation is, when this little piece of ice melts, they melt with it, but in a good way! Pretend this is you: As you are melting from what used to be “the love of your life”, you are now a new drop of water in the middle of a huge body of water. This is going to happen to everyone at least once. Imagine how many drops of water are in an ocean, or even a lake…
What I am trying to say is that sometimes when you let go,sometimes it is a good thing. There are so many people in the world and you haven’t even had the chance to find out. While you are alone, there is someone else that is alone too. You both are searching for happiness, and you will find it eventually.
