"I told my husband what a great big Royals fan you are. He is a pilot that flys over different stadiums, and he's going to fly over the Royals Kauffman Stadium during the last line of the National Anthem. Would you like to be in a plane with him in 2 days", asked Mrs. Nicholson, my 8th hour teacher for 7th grade.

This is the story of me flying over Kauffman Stadium.

At first, I said no. But then, I saw a video of one of the flyovers before a race.
After I saw the video, this is what I said: "I'll think about it." Then she told me to remember 1 thing: " is the only time you get to do it."

Later that night, I thought about it. As soon as I thought about it, I decided I was going to give this thing a shot. I was thinking to myself,"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to do it. I might never get this experience, so I might as well do it." And I'm glad I chose to do it. And I will never regret it.

2 days later, I was ready to do it. I walked into the apirport to wait. And then, all of a sudden, my teacher appeared in the room. My dad drove me to where the planes were. I noticed they only carried 2 people.

Then, I saw that the pilot of the plane I was going to fly in was Mrs. Nicholson's husband. I was really shocked. The next thing I knew, one of the guys handed us tickets. I was really excited that I got tickets to the game. 30 minutes after that, I was in the air, looking down at the spectacular view. This is a description of how I felt: AMAZING!!

The plane twisted, went upside down, and it turned in different directions. I could see some houses down from the window. I also saw some cars passing by. I did that, but the only thing was that I couldn't see the field. As soon as I got back, I was surprised of how fast it went.

The lesson I want everybody to know is that if you want to do something that you really don't want to do, just do it. You can't just sit there and think for a long time. You have to decide, and you have to decide fast, or you might not get the opportunity. That's one of the things that I learned from this experience.

I could smell the smoke coming out of the back of the planes as the engines roared to life. I was wearing a blue Royals shirt. I was VERY excited to do this. As I got into the plane, I thought it was going to be really exciting. And it was. This is definitely an experience I would like to repeat in my life. I liked this, because not many people get to do this kind of thing frequently. I could also smell the scent of planes. I could see everything. Out of the blue, I could see other planes through the window.
