The Sad Sad Day
On the cold, dreary Thanksgiving Day my warm-hearted grandfather passed away dreadfully. My pleasant family sat down to a delightful feast. The phone started ringing loudly, right after we blessed the food.My mom slowly stood up and walked over to the ringing phone. She was dead silent as the person on the other line was talking. She slowly put the phone down and said "He's gone." Our entire family stood up and enveloped my mom in a great big bear hug. We stood there for the longest time comforting my mom.
