I believe that miracles do happen and through even very tiny miracles anything is possible. Everything is better.
When I was in 7th grade, there was a huge book report at the end of the school year, but this time, instead of writing on paper, we were doing it on computers. We were required to have our own flash drive and turn it in through that. Well, we were about a week into writing the book report and I had misplaced my flash drive. It was due in two days and I still needed to write the climax, falling action, and the resolution. I spent so much of my free time looking for it on the day I lost it and could not find it anywhere.  I went inside and out of my backpack hoping to find it there. I thought maybe after I slept, I could wake up and find it. That didn’t happen. I continued to look after school and couldn’t find it. I tried just starting over, but I realized that I really couldn’t do it. I had the rest of the book report done, but not the beginning part. I was about to go to bed when suddenly I looked over to my backpack and as I am about to put it by the front door, the flash drive was sitting right there on top of my backpack, as it was by magic. I was beyond shocked. I just couldn’t believe my eyes. But it was there, and I was able to turn my book report completely finished and was completely relieved.

That I wasn’t the only time I was saved by a miracle. It was when I was about one year, two months old, it was brought to my family’s attention that I was allergic to dairy, eggs, peanuts, and soy. This really changed my parents’ and my life-style. We really had to be cautious of what I was eating--mainly my parents did because I was only one year-old. It’s still really hard for me because, to this day, I am still allergic to dairy and eggs, but I have outgrown my allergy to peanuts and soy. Anyways, I was really “struggling” as a child, even though I really didn’t know what was going on.

So, about a month later, my mom needed her yearly check-up at the doctor’s, so she arranged for a nurse to take care of me in the lobby. My mom let her know probably three times to not feed me the things I am allergic too. Well, the nurse ended up feeding me goldfish crackers and I had a huge allergic reaction. I started puffing up and I wasn’t able to breath. Things did not seem good for me. Even with the Epipen, I shouldn’t have lived, but I did. 30-seconds after I had the reaction, my mom came out from her check up and saw this. She immediately grabbed her purse and used the Epipen on me and I was safe. Now you may be thinking, how is this a miracle. Well going back to what I said, the Epipen shouldn’t have cured me since it had already been 30 seconds. My mom came out of her check-up just in time. To me, that seems like a miracle.

From these experiences, I have realized that miracles really do happen. Now, I am not saying that you should always expect a miracle, because it doesn’t always come. But, you always want to have a positive attitude. That is what I did. I never fully lost hope, not when I needed to find my flash drive, not when I needed to take a breath. Sure I was ready to give up, but truly, I had faith and got a miracle.
