When I was in 3rd grade, it was the best year of my life. I had lots of friends and I loved my school. One day my mother told me, "we are moving." As soon as I heard that, I broke down in tears. I mean am I wrong? If you were moving from your home that you lived in all your life you would be upset too. I used to live in Chicago and I went to Jane A. Niel. It was a small school, so not many people knew about it. Now I was moving to Chicago Ridge and I was now going to be going to Ridge Central. My old house was the best house ever. It was pretty big, not really but I was only in 3rd grade.

It had an upstairs and an downstairs. The basement was huge! I would go down there and play with all my toys after homework. I would always play on my moms workout trampoline and pretended that I was flying. My room was even better. In my closet it was a little door way behind my clothes. I would always hide in there from my mom so she wouldn't make me go to church. I always thought she didn't know where I was, but she always found me. Sometimes I would go in the if I'm sad or upset.

May 30th was my last day of going to my old school. All my friends made drawings and wrote goodbye letters to me. When we got on the road, I didn't know exactly where we were going. The only thing my mom told me was how my new school would be like. I was starting the 4th grade and I was terrified. On the first day of school I was quite and shy. When we started the class I couldn't find my desk and people stared at me. This one girl was the only girl who was actually nice enough to show me where to go, she even showed me where my locker was. As the year went on she became my best friend and we did everything together.

Overall I got use to the new school and the new house. It wasn't a house but a small apartment. There were lots of kids around my age who lived by me. We would always go to the park and the baseball field and play lots of games. On the other hand I had the best years living in Chicago Ridge.
