Homecoming 2018 Reflection
My very first homecoming was this year 2018 and it has done a lot and taught me a lot. I was especially very nervous because I was planning on wearing a dress and full makeup also extensions to it and that was my first time doing something like that for a school event. But it taught me and showed me some things. It showed me that I am very brave and confident to do all that in front of the people I see almost every day. It also taught me how to just be myself without caring what other people will think. It was a great stress relief having my friends with me and I'm most definitely grateful for them because without them I wouldn't have gone. It was very exhausting dancing but very fun and it made me lose all my energy that night. Just being able to not worry about schoolwork and dance with all my girlfriends really helped get things off my mind and they made my night. As far as not having a date it wasn't that bad some of my friends had dates and some others didn't and I didn't even care at that point because dancing and singing with my friends made me have a good time anyways. I felt so amazing because my dress was so beautiful and my hair was on point and my makeup was really good and I just felt really beautiful and pretty that night. The one who I was most grateful for and really appreciated was my mom because she is the one who did my hair and bought me my dress, shoes, and hair extensions she wanted to make sure I had a really great time and I can't thank her enough for that.
All in all, I had an amazing time at homecoming thanks to all my friends and especially my mother and I can't think them all enough and I love them so much! I can't wait for next years homecoming and this one definitely made me realize how lucky and privileged i am. The fact that I can be able to even go to homecoming and wear a dress and get extensions and just be able to be myself is just the best feeling in the world and some kids don't have the privilege to do all these things, so I definitely didn't take homecoming for granted and it really was just so amazing. I just really will remember that night for the rest of my life it was probably one of my best memory of 2018 because I had a lot of ups and downs in 2018 but homecoming made that all disappear for a night. I hope to make more great memories like homecoming and have just as much fun at next years homecoming and this by far is my one of my top 10 favorite memories.
