Dehydrated, dizzy, drenched. I looked up… only to see the blazing sun. The scorching heat was too much to handle, the sun was shining bright, making metal scorching hot to the touch, black tar was melting away, cars overheating, and roads were heating up where you think that its water only to find dry asphalt.

I could not think of anything else, only my head that was pounding repetitively, feeling like I was wacking my head against a concrete wall, slowly getting dizzy with every step I took, I wanted to go into the shade. But, the sun's heat was making me feel too tired to move on.

My clothes felt tight and sticky, it felt like I was hosed down in a sticky substance… I hate the feeling of being trapped in my own clothes. I felt like I was sweating buckets constantly, gallons after gallons. My hair was very frizzy, as well as very sweaty, I had no hat to cover my face.

I can feel the burning that I was feeling on my skin, intensifying with every second that goes by.  my skin was red, it was like I was stuck inside a house that went up into flames and I had no way out, I could not escape. I can only feel my skin slowly melting away with every minute I was outside. The sunlight was engulfing my body in an unbearable hug.

Everytime I would lick my lips, I was wishing for water, but all I could taste was the salty liquid that traveled from my forehead down.  I can only imagine the first sip of ice cold water, the cooling sensation of relief traveling through my body. If I dont get water soon, I'll melt into a puddle of sweat. I needed to feel this cooling sensation.. No, I want to feel it!

I wished and wished for the tow truck to hurry, minutes felt like hours.  The car broke down a few hours ago and I had nothing to protect myself from the heat. I can feel myself going slightly crazy, but I find myself laughing. I was only thinking, “Well I never, in my life, would’ve expected my brand new car to break down so fast, it's crazy how things like this can happen out of nowhere.”
