In His Arms
It’s those times when you’re awe stricken watching him walking toward you because his eyes are gleaming and his smile is staring at you but you can’t make out the words. Your heart’s racing and it’s a bit difficult to breath. He finally reaches you and takes your face into his hands to reach your lips as his hands drop to your waist to pull you in more. Your arms find their way around his neck and your lips match perfectly with his. His lips reach your forehead and he’s holding you for seconds while you take those seconds to regain sanity and consciousness of what’s happening. My heart stops and my stomach drops every time I think of the fact that he’s my best friend and know that he could drop what we are any time. What we are, I don’t know. Laying in each others bed every night talking till late hours, cuddling and falling sleep. No relationship will progress, no serious bull. I don’t trust anyone with that muscle sitting in my chest.
