That you'd be watching from the shadows, making sure i was OK. at first, i didn't believe that you could watch from the shadows; simply because when you stepped into the darkness, its became light. But you turned your face from mine and walked away so easily. Like your precious diamond had been found only to be some spare quarts. You swore you'd always be my guardian; but now you're just my evil angle; now you're just the spirit of my past, the object of my obsession, the reason for my grief. And here i am, watching you from the shadows; watching you with her and, as the moon casts your shadows upon the lake, i realize that i can relate to it; alone yet beautiful, always shining and bright to others, hiding its darker side.
