Earn Your Love
One of my aunts once told me " love is like respect, it is earned."
Obviosly, she lied.
You never did anything for me to fall in love with you. You could even say that you worked to prevent the enevitable.
It didnt work.
I ignored almost evrey mean comment, and immedialtly forgave you for those I didn't. I was willing to put up with your mood swings and bad attitude. It seems like I have destroyed every honest relationship I ever had for you. When you never even talked to me outside of class.
It seems a small price to pay.
But loving you was, and is, just so easy. Completely effortless. I won't say it is as easy as breathing, because sometimes you make that immpossible. Let's say it's as easy as wishing. Wishing you were mine. Wishing you were wishing for me.
Its been almost three years since i met you and several months since we last talked. But I still find that the thought of you still gives me chills. I find I am still waiting, however friutlessly, for you to tell me how to earn your love.
I swear, I would do it.
