The Seeker
I am the seeker, and I seek what I cannot have, what I have not felt in years. And yet I yearn for it, and chase it endlessly. I experience it, and yet I do not feel. It is not everything I imagined, but it could be so much more. It has that potential, that sweet, sweet, potential. Every morning I face it, every night, every day. It’s all at once both a soothing warmth, and an ache; both sweet and sour – a contradiction. For once, I have something to look forward to, to wake up to. For once, I have someone.
I am the seeker, and what I seek is love.
