Lets Go
Over hills and long stretches of asphalt towards my destined place. Unknown, but destined to be there. As soon as tires hit rocks, windows roll to their places and music is cued. Miles away, my vacant place in the driveway makes closed minds wonder. As they wonder I wander through tall grass to find a place to breathe. I breathe in water against rocks, birds soaring, and patches of lily of the valley. All is calm, so I scream. Breaking the silence rustles the trees, but they resume as if their broken peace has been sewn together by the wind. I stay here, staring at the clouds for what seems like hours. Then I ignite the engine, and head home.
