I Remember
I remember that night, the way you looked at me. I remember that shy look in your eyes, that I knew was reflected in mine. I recall the way your arms felt around me as we sat there on the steps. Each passing moment felt like an eternity, and I couldn’t get enough of it. I remember the way your lips felt on mine, in that first, timid kiss. It was as though we were meant to be together at that very moment. As though everything else in our lives had just been leading us to this moment, to this dazzling epiphany of love. The kiss was our starting point, kiss after kiss. I loved the way it felt, to be held in your arms and lips.
