I went to Mexico when I was 4 years old, my reason was to visit but it got kind of complicated. I was with my grandma. My grandma is short tan skinned person she’s very respectful and nice she was a pet keeper that’s how she made her living. We went visiting places, everything was going good. First we visited a park called Parque Metropolitano de Leon. It’s like a miniature city theirs fake cops and everything it’s pretty cool. Next Place we visited was Autodromo de Leon it’s a place where you can race with go-karts. I went one with my aunt we won like 4th place. The last place we visited that day was Plaza de los Fundadores where my aunt was going to buy me clothes so I could wear while I was visiting so she bought me a shirt. It was a pretty cool shirt. Here is where you all meet my little cousin he’s a kind of a rude dark-skinned person. When she bought it my little cousin wanted one too but she didn’t have enough money to get him one. When we got home my cousin tried to take the shirt from me, I got it and ran up some outside stairs and he had a shoe. He tried throwing the shoe towards me and I thought he would’ve hit me so I ducked and slipped. I was holding on to something with one hand. I’m not really sure what it was I think it was a big box full of bricks. Everything was happening so slow. After like 30 seconds of holding on my palms were full of sweat I couldn’t hold on anymore, so I let go. I hit the ground head first and knocked out.     The next thing I remember after that was when they were taking me to the hospital. I woke up, my grandma had me on her lap. I was confused and asked her what happened. She said nothing and lay my head down and I went back to sleep. Next thing I remember was that I was in the Emergency room with like 5 doctors around me. They asked me if I wanted to urinate and I did in a bottle. After like a week I went back home with a bandage on my forehead. Lots of people would ask me what happened to me so I didn’t attend school for about 2 months. My grandma took good care of me, she did all she could to make me feel better about my accident. My cousin didn’t really do anything about it. I guess he was a little scared. He wouldn’t talk to me very much nor look at me. But after about 3 weeks he got over it and we started talking like normal cousins. A couple months passed by and we celebrated my birthday everything was fine. I only stayed in Mexico for about 7 months, I don’t remember what exact date I came back into the U.S.A it was around January. Whenever I came back we had a big family reunion and I couldn’t find my mom so I went around asking for Gaby. Whenever I found she was laughing at me and hugged me and started crying. You could say she was happy to see me again. She checked out my scar she said it was okay and that it was going to go away after a long time . Till this day still have the scar on my forehead people still ask me about it and I like telling them the short story. Most people think it’s a burn or a birthmark but I just tell them that I fell. My scar was way bigger and covered more of my face than it covers now it’s less noticeable than it was about 9 years ago, and I’m not ashamed at all about it. Some people say it’s cool, weird, scary and some say it wouldn’t make a difference if I didn’t have it. I just think it’s like any normal scar.
