"We Blinked"
"We closed our eyes for too long, and only now have they opened. It's not as easy to open your eyes as some would expect, those who cried today, or at least wanted to, finally opened their eyes, to see something they didn't want to. A blank sheet, in which THEY would have to fill in with their future. Times of our childhood are coming to an end. However, Time waits not for us, we must press on, through the hardships that we face, through the troubles of life, to find where we belong."

My 8th Grade year was over before I was ready for it to end, and for me, it meant I was going on to highschool and leaving the faculty of the school I had been at for three school years. My English teacher said one thing before we dismissed to the busses, "Guys, We blinked." And his words stayed with me that day, and inspired me to write this
