Tattoo
I walked in and gave my dad a paper, he looked at it and smiled as he signed it, but that smile soon faded as my mom asked what's going on. He told her that he was signing a form for my act and high school transcript. She was happy at first but soon got sad at the fact that I was growing up. My parents said they would never get sappy with saying goodbye. I knew they would though, for that just the type of people they are. They procrastinate until the last minute and then will start to believe it. My mom and dad then left the same day for they were both getting a tattoo. I sat around and played xbox and waited til they got back. I always thought tattoos were cool so I asked on impulse, if i could get one and they laughed and said what even would you get. I pointed the one on my dad's calf and said that one in the same place. They then said I could if I saved up, even though they knew I never saved up any money. I saved up until I had 290 dollars. I slammed the cash on my dad's desk and asked him to make me an appointment. He said he was just joking about it, but then i brought up me going to college. “If I can go live on my own in a half of year, I should be able to get one.” I would say. He was really reluctant until I kept making him sad with the fact I was leaving for college, but he thought at least it was one he had made and drawn. It would always be a thing that me and him would remember forever. I awoke the friday and went about my day until about 2 o’clock. I then got in the car and drove over to the parlor. Me and my dad signed the paperwork and I layed down on the chair. I was really nervous and worried. Thoughts like what if I don't like it, etc. went through my head. Once he started there was no going back. It felt like someone slapping a sunburn and it went on for 8 hours. Once it got done I stood up and looked in the mirror. I loved it. It was the exact same as my dad's and it looked great. Ever since then people would say “why would you ever get that tattoo”, or stating that they don't like it but that's ok. I am the one that has to live with it and I will always love and cherish it and people don't believe it means anything but to me it means family. Family is the most important thing because they don't screw you over in life. They stick by you and will always be there. That what this tattoo means. Sometimes being impulsive isn't bad either sometimes it will give you a memory or something to remember forever.
