The Long Road Ahead
What are you anticipating?
The question is an easy question with an easy answer.
The future. It sounds simple, but what else can one anticipate in life? Certainly not the past. Not the present. Just future, be it 50 seconds or 50 years away.
Specifically?
I look forward to anticipating new futures, as each one whizzes by and becomes present, then past, then history. I anticipate anticipation, because without it we lose dreamers. I anticipate sadness, anger, and pain, love, joy, and hope, for they are the core of life and humanity.
As for right now?
I anticipate finishing this piece, and going on to the next one, and the next one, and the next one, because my stories teach me something new with each letter I type, and because I anticipate learning most of all.
