Michael Feuerstahler has been teaching English and coaching football since 2009. In 2002, he was still a student athlete at Martin Luther College in Minnesota.

Feuerstahler said he didn’t want to comment on his individual achievements, but he said this about his high school team, “We lost in the state championship game 10-12 in football at Camp Randall in 1996.” Feuerstahler played at Watertown Luther Prep from 1994-1998.

Feuerstahler was a wide receiver in his playing days at Martin Luther. “I try to waste no opportunities to improve,” says Feuerstahler. “My goal was to make sure that I did everything in my power in and out of season that could help me be as good of a player as possible.” Feuerstahler holds school records in career receiving yards and receptions and also has the record for receptions in a game.

Before his time at Arrowhead, Feuerstahler taught and coached at Wisconsin Rapids High School. As a football coach he has already helped the Warhwaks to win a state championship last year.

“Playing was definitely more fun than coaching, but I enjoy seeing a group of young athletes who are able to see the results of what hard work and persistence can get you,” says Feuerstahler. “Coaching gives me the opportunity to step back and see the growth both mentally and physically of the players that you can't see when you are actually playing the sport.”
