Are you looking for a tropical, holiday full of fun activities? Honolulu is located on an island surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. A long day relaxing at the spa, getting a relaxing massage and facial right in your hotel. Spending the day exploring and hiking the famous diamond head volcano or having a day at the stunning beaches right outside your hotel where you can taste the salty ocean air. And these are just a few of the activities that Hawaii offers.

The best time to visit Hawaii is from March to September which is at the end of winter and the start of spring. This is when the island sees the least rain, with the most pleasant temperatures between 20-30 degrees. At this time the days are lovely and warm (perfect weather to swim in, and the hot sand on your feet) with a nice breeze in the evening to the night. At the warmer temperatures of the day, you will most likely see the huge friendly sea turtles swim under your feet as this is their favourite time of the year.

Want to get crafty? When in Honolulu, you saw at least one craft table every day, placed in the most random spots and most for free. We found one on a hike to a waterfall! This was an amazing experience; my sisters and I each made a ley out of purple and white flowers that smelt divine. There is a cultural night called Paradise cove luau, where they have fire dancers, hula girls and a cultural talk that explained the history of the island. After the introduction, there was a buffa so you could eat and watch the dancers.  During the night, they get volunteers to get up on the huge stage, in a competition of hula dancing! So, mum jumped at the chance and had so much fun. This was an incredible experience.

The Hawaiian Islands were first settled in 400 CE. When Polynesians from the Marquesas Islands, travelled hundreds of miles to Hawaii’s Island in canoes. They lived in small communities ruled by chieftains who fight other communities for land and territory.

Foodie? The food in Hawaii nowadays is known as a combination of Asian dishes. In Honolulu, there is a famous place called the cheesecake factory which sells over 35 cheesecake flavours! Not to mention the dinner menu. On the everyday menu, there are just over 250 items!

They also have a lot of food trucks and small but cheap food shops. Because Hawaiians live on an island they eat a lot of seafood, so you will see on every menu there will be a lot of meals that consist of seafood.

If you love animals, you will love Hawaii, Hawaii has free-ranging wild chickens, that are very friendly. Dolphin Quest Oahu is a 4.6-star place where you can swim with dolphins! Bruno Mars, (a famous singer) states, ‘I can't even speak Hawaiian, but if you go there and listen to a Hawaiian song, you get captured because it's so beautiful.’

Hawaii offers many affordable accommodation options, with the price ranging from $100-$2,000. The hotel I stayed at was called Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, this was an incredible hotel with kind staff and only a few hundred meters from the beach.   With beachfront views, a pool and a bar. Although this resort was more expensive than other affordable accommodations, it was an amazing experience and I one hundred per cent recommend it.

Hawaii really is beautiful.
