  THE SUMMER FAMILY TRIP

Summer trips with my family are always exciting for me, especially after an exhausting school year. Luckily enough, I was not alone in this. My family was excited about the summer family trips just like me because we were thinking that we all deserved that “relaxing, comforting” holiday trip. So, we planned a tour around the Balkan. We visited Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Bosnia, and Herzegovina one or two months ago.
In my family we are about four people. So, when the trip was getting closer, we started to pack our stuff and get ready for it as fast as possible.
On the day of the trip, we all had our car essentials ready to go. Our first stop was going to be Bulgaria, so we set off. The first hours were nice. We turned on the radio, relaxed, chatting  because we were trying to get used to the trip. Then, when the stopovers came, our excitement was slowly going away. But we still had that good feeling because we were looking forward to the times, we would be going to have fun. To be honest, this trip had a positive side and a negative side.
Some of   the things that bothered me most were the stopovers and inside the car my sister was always energetic except for the times she was watching some cartoons or listening to music on my mother's phone or the computer. So, she would do all the things that bothered me a lot, like hitting me, putting her legs over my shoulder while I was trying to sleep etc. This was something I could not take anymore. I was tired and sleepy, so I got mad most of the time. Because of all that, I had to argue with my parents a lot. I did not want to take care of her after all these situations and naturally that made me more tired.
I said, “Can you please stop; I am trying to sleep!”
My sister replied, "No, I will continue to annoy you. Haha.”
My mom and dad jumped in, “Can you please take care of your sister!”
“I am so tired of dealing with her, I am trying to sleep. Can you please warn her? "I replied with an angry tone.
Half of the trip was about them lecturing me about taking care of my sister...
The positive side was when I was listening to the music, dancing, and singing the song. It gave me energy to go on and made me motivated because I was finding peace in the music. It was my way of dealing with negativity.
However, my parents intervened again. They wanted me to put the volume down. The reason again was my sister. She was sleeping.
I tried to argue with them at first, but then I gave up. I was trying to normalize it.The annoying thing was that unfortunately my sleep schedule with my sister did not always match well.
Anyways.

Of course, I enjoyed some things during the trip. I was dreaming of the places I would see, the foods I would taste, the memories I would build. Then suddenly I was thinking that even though I argued with my family and do not get on well with my sister at least I was finding something to be excited about, like a bond to life. I also loved the wind with the music. It is just such a good vibe for me and a life saver in the sizzling summer. One of the sweetest things about our car trip was eating the food we had prepared at home. It seemed and tasted more delicious than before, and I always felt at home.
At the end of the car trip, I saw that we made a lot of memories while visiting those beautiful countries with unique people. Even though our trip was tiring, and I got mad with my family at times, (you know mostly because of my sister) I was grateful for my experiences. Now, finally I have a chance to say, “yeah last summer I went to a lot of countries by car, it was definitely a long and interesting journey!”
