The Record Keeper

Summary:
The short story follows a woman called the "Record Keeper" who, in extensive handwritten records, keeps track of each death and birth that takes place. She lives in a very blue house, and leads an extremely organized life. Her only friend is the local Mailman, who updates her on what is happening outside of her own little world. Although the Record Keeper takes a lot of pride in her job, she can't help but long for the outside world- in particular, the moon.
