"Why, indeed it's there!"

Author's note:

A girl I find myself of wondrous magic, hoping to become an Imagineer to inspiring the creativity and possibility adventurous possibility in all who stroll by the stories my work can bring. A story this was by the notion that nothing ends, and neither did I think that the story of Santa Clause, only though he not being the main character.

The author's comments:

This chapter is MY WHOLE BOOK! I feel no need for chapters - its a story in single an essence. --- Christina Holmes

Once upon a very magical night there lived a girl. A soul she was creative, hobbies all including building snowmen, exploring her wintery world, and dancing just beside her father, Mr. dear old Santa Clause. Christmas Eve this day it was, and silently waiting her rest in bed, the girl hoped with all certain might that she would be able to just finally ride upon magical that her father's sleigh, a had dream always been for her, but alas was given single a tell every which year that yet not she have to had learned ways and arts of gift-giving or true magics enough in order to have capability for taking upon a journey beyond far the North Pole. Sure, this young girl held only young an age of nine, but years recorded deemed nothing for her. Besides, past all curious creativity, this girl was also adventurous, an aspirant to discover activities excitingly new everyday, and so quite did. But reposing only this night was, for with title of Christmas Eve, she knew exact what it meant: a time of optimistic laughter, celebration, and most importantly, a wonderfully unique gift from dear cherished her father – or well, suppose it could be rather two a gifts. The first forevermore a magical snow globe depicting each with a unique scenery, contrasted from year to year, that held several 3D figures of objects and characters shifting and creating their stories within, each of an event importantly epic that had or would occur that same year given. How each made the girl want to just dance a spin! The other was a recount of her father's quite funniest events from one his yearly trips around furthest the globe. Stories heard she had of him being chased by patrolling dogs, getting wedged into the narrowest chimneys and not being able to further shift about in stance, or even accidentally spilling his glass full of overnight milk. Luckily, with all that handy-dandy magic of his, issues and mess were easily able to be solved, untangled, and cleaned right up.

Quite a smile each these stories brought to dear the girl's rosy cheeks, but truly only amplified these memories made for greatest her wish to accompany the magical man upon one his sleigh. When once the door began upon its open, ready the girl prepared, hands in tremble and heart pumping as through racing alongst the speed of light. Excitement there contained, for would today be the day, that a time finally her own to soar through the skies with dear jolly good old Clause? Only vibrant a hope she could there wander her ponder.

Heavy each his boots pounded upon the wooden floors, perhaps even a size too big, and at the mass of his sit, inway slight the bed twisted. None the girl paid her attentions, however, for instead it was the story unique to be told, the globe of wonder, and that simple answer which contained all her waitings.

"Well greetings, my joyful sugar snowman of delight. I suppose most eager you are to hear what tale there lies here this night?"  the jolly man began a spoke with question. The girl herself gave a most optimistic smile. All was going so rather smooth at start, so hopefully it could persist till indeed that question dawning.

"Of course! As tingle my fingers and restless my toes, then spinning this my mind, a determined patience I most certainly have!"

"Well, I suppose then the time to commence has indeed begun. This I shall begin on very the top of a house, where first it had begun with Dasher, then Dancer, then Pracer, then Comet, then Cupid, then Donner and Blizen — and of course we cannot forget about sir Rudolph — when they had landed all their hooves somehow within rounded the gutter a house and dearly so tripped, causing all a tumble and slip. Down with a plummet each collapsed below, confused quite and startled of course. Why, I had been most certainly too, an inclusion this fall, but this my own not with a crash – no, no – far instead from it. Created I the fall a somersault in tumble, commencing first thrust upwards and then spinning downwards as a pinwheel., directly soft and sound both feet secure to the ground. Although quite this regally defined impression it had ended for myself, unfortunately utter a mess it had left the surrounding rest. Between Comet and Prancer, Dancer was wedged; tangled in the harness occurred Cupid, and Rudolph caught under the sleigh. Besides this last indeed it seemed a ball of clumsy, confused reindeer I had been given as year's that gift of Christmas! Luckily, with announcement to words in instruction all tossed from my mouth, this tangle had eventually been able to disperse. With only this short time's minute used up, and off we were once again that night's deliverance!"

"Wow, what a day that had so seemed! Say, now that here we speak of it, I was wondering — only pondering — if maybe you would resolve it a thought alright if for simply only this Christmas Eve night I could most attempt to a ride of length and trial upon so specially wonderful and unique that sled your own — oh please?" Had that been a bit too much, for indeed it seemed quite so. Tendency the girl had to overexaggerate her vocals when nervous, but never did she wish for its misconception to take away an opportunity. Quite insistfully spirited though all had initiated, a shock it was to heart as forwardly commenced came only the drastically negative shake of the head, eyes collapsed downwards and distant from spirited jolly. Afraid that Santa still felt that year once more too young his daughter was to handle all several challengeful experiences that laid strict in store, partially acts those of gift-giving and unknown magic the night. Each unfamiliar, perhaps proving as confusions to the girl even with a mind right. Persist though she tried her message, remained same word in answer, concealing every vocal expression beneath from view.

A pause then that moment suddenly commenced both through their patience, lasting quite fifteen seconds length before ideal last, checkpoint following came as draw from quite this unchanged system and heartfelt uncontentment, for that gift his to her delivered at grace.

"Switch our minds around here shall we? This year it is, my young angel come night, an image of one your precious snowman creations, though certainly all most unique, a dazzling Christmas penguin of ice!" Indeed quite wondrous it was the sight, and quickly the girl rose from bed, stretching towards her shelf above, where there its form she placed in most flowy sparkle, against all the other snowglobes in nifty style, each a gift only from years before, days too she had attempted a hopeful hint in trial. Happily though she sat there at ease, gazing towards her snow creature of the south dazzling and dancing all every worry away, flippers swaying in courage and balanced just right. Prominent features it displayed, a happiness emitting from beak to pupil, even if only rather crafted from universally frozen H2O and hands alone. That end of November, quite she remembered, such day when with specialty in honor she had been given opportunity to meet a traveler penguin from below the south. Together she and her penguin companion danced about the Christmas tree, that which too she had been given the honor to place memorable that sparkled star, a job rarely allowed to any but the head elf (how jealous he was at Santa's announcement, you should have seen his volcanic face!), with feeling all so free. A memory great it had portrayed that moment, though quickly away it followed with evident a farewell from her father as clicked the door latched tight.

Pondered this girl did, each eyelid cooperative but slowly fluttering away. What was it still she was left missing that very day, something she could possibly improve upon to seize at last that moment's ride upon glorious one his sleigh? It was she was missing, those words her father said, the tasks certain as known gift-giving and truest magic quite from brought night to day, two factors though unsure the girl felt about definition, perhaps made slightest the sense. Magic she had, all around her it subsisted, at wake and sleep, wonders those a cause for reindeer to fly their apotheosis, stars and sky to dance above, and Christmas as all its chime. Influenced she was most too by gift-giving this act, for all after, it too was an diurnal to nocturnal attachment, from elves one task the next, sculpting toys and wrapping gifts; then not to mention her father, delivering each those with heart to each the breathtaking number of children this world. Of course her mother, Mrs. Clause, herself worked forbye the extra in supportment a breath for all, baking each her specialty cookies of plenty and knitting scarves to retain all toasty, though none truly figured their use. Perhaps even the reindeer provided themselves as too a certain something, guiding sir Santa upon each yearly voyage his through dark those misty skies at night.

Although then, now in happen the middle of this ponderment, what had she herself contributed to this and every Christmas season? Existent were there special gifts or magic that she contributed to this world? All it seemed she to do was build odd snow creatures and dance all her days away – sometimes even in circles around these very creations to admit. Not to mention that exquisite but rather extensive collection she had of shiftingly unique snowglobes. Never though the gift of magic, or even a simple gift at all she could recall to have produced for another. Perhaps that was what was needed to prove, and it not just towards herself, but also her father, and maybe then only he would feel confident enough to allow a daughter experience within his magical sleigh of wonder. This year, perhaps not (already ended practically were this calender's digits), but by exact the year next, make sure she would to have accomplished this very task of contribution towards the Christmas spirit. Effort most certainly it would require to muster, change for mind certain, but with little a courage she knew all the recreation she could master and become herself her own Santa Clause of gift-giving and magic. Indeed, she would do it.

Days here we pass, ways from moments skipped and conversations exchanged, although none these days we call towards a hint our attentions, for year next it came and there continue we shall.. Open the girl did her eyes to only a future in adventure. Simple first the minute of sixth the hour of first the month of first the day it was, but all time the world the girl seemed to have grasped at hand, all just waiting to be influenced by a future in adventure. What should she attempt with all her focused mentality of expertise first? To be useful a gift-giver, obvious it seemed that she would need to know how to think, build, and package toys; so fact just brought that an elf first she'd be.

Sprung from her bed and down the stair railing she went, ready to experience all a day's same as miniscule but bouncy an elf of wonder. There it was, that room of invention just below, upon a turn right the corner at the stair landing, that room of all possible invention. After locating herself a nice hunk of wood, along with several useful tools for purposeful carving, the girl pondered exact just her idea. At suddenly its click, careful scrapes to the organic material of cube she allowed, forming steady and specifically there a train of wonder, perhaps the perfect start to her career as a gift-maker, obviously as well support for this holiday special. Everything seemed to be functioning so splendid.

Seconds morphed to minutes, then themselves to hours, and yet it was still the same single construction project the girl labored herself on. Meanwhile, all around the elves worked at speed their own, carving boat after plane, stitching sparkly pillow after teddy bears of fluff, never a slow in pace nor tired motions backing down. Was it unique turbo powers they had or was it just their daily consumption of her mother's wonderful ol' magical cookies? (If so, she should really think about loading up on some at this very moment!) Odd it seemed, how fast each those little guys could work though never had she actually noticed or even posed quite the question about it before. Yet here she was, moving at the pace of a blind turtle with three legs broken and a blind eye double, a style that practically defied all laws in gravitational motion – well, maybe not, but it most certainly pressured against something. Perhaps quicker it was she to work, then an equaled pace she would effortlessly be able to take. Faster so hands pricked with slanted blade, kinching and nicking away each bit by piece, gathering speed at every hatching pluck, eyebrows and armpits sweating all like crazy, fingers racing so outrageously with haste, shoes beginning their dance just below her seat, not a moment seeming left to lose, until ever all suddenly …

"Ouchy!" the young girl exclaimed in might. Small though it was, a splinter of rather sharp status had impaled through just slight the side her finger, close not exact the dead center but just along the outline, certainly though enough to spike the production of a trail type O blood from infinitesimal that opening her limb., landing so smoothly and casually as due to gravity to surface that wonderful, almost completed, wooden toy train below (a universal donor she was, though perhaps not to toy trains themselves). Carefully a lift she gave towards one its quite definite endings, and indeed out the impaler came, but skillfully carved with blade she could no longer, and even not a band-aid could make nanometer slightest in difference. This "creator of gift" title then perhaps she was not, but as quick as this speculation first went came yet another for inspiration. For nourriture these elves every morning it was made, over 500,000 cookies and sweets, all by dear her mother, Mrs. Clause so sweet. Most positively an assist she herself as daughter could provide, especially since first day the year new it was (after day Christmas, a time slight everyone went on off work, so none those thousands of cookies the dear mother had to manufacture or distribute). Once a hearing the girl had that within the Sugar Kitchen all was madly created, filled all and tossled with candies, chocolate, and sweets galore. Never actually had the girl sighted an eye's glance past the space's special graham cracker door with decorated droplets of frosting — too a gumdrop handle; but how indeed an urge she felt it now, marked time for exploration.

With a turn of its sugary handle, a shock most it spurred as arrived the girl within a room completed with most a sugary, rich, caramel-dispersing aroma. From the ceiling above, the girl noticed from puffy cotton candy clouds specks of tiny sugar crystals there indeed rained. Together in large heaps each piled in color alongst the ground like the wondrous, cohesive forces in a substance of water. Aside from those wonders epic, the countertops, too, held their own architecture specialty of literal cookie dough structure, and just from above hung the most spectacular jelly-bean morphed chandelier. A heaven of all C6H12O6 it was indeed (that's sugar by the way; just check your periodic table).

Excited the girl became that instant so exquisite; however, there existed just one single a problem. Nobody was there inside. By so late this morning, quite the girl expected her mother to already be hard at work measuring, mixing, manifesting — you know the usual for any baker. All types of cookies, brownies, and puddings expected there was to be laid about cooling off in perfection, existing alongst though royal a mess of rolling pins, spatulas, oven mitts, and other kitchen essentials. Quite all that moment, there was nothing. Absolutely nothing — though of course aside from the magnificent kitchen existing itself. At most this point in reverberation, though slightly odd it seems to say, where was all the chaos? Spectacular art required material and space, and if baking was one a form – which the girl wisely thought – then there had to at least be a speck of misplaced frosting.

Thought then announced. Perhaps her mother had not even given a start towards that day's baking. Well then of course a hand of assistance there would be required in need! Not a worry, for here a daughter of support indeed was, from head to toe all ready to commence her yummy creations. Through all the cabinets then the girl began her search, grasping baggies plastic of sugar, chocolate chips, flour, then reaching for measuring cups and experimenting with purified water, olive and canola oil (indeed both butter and vegetable oil always gave the elves diarrhea), soymilk and oatmilk (elves too were always quite lactose intolerant) in a lovely but oddly shaped hexagonal bowl. Mixing all she began the wets, the drys, the boths until at last one distributed, uniformal dough was situated at hand, ready to take on all those scorching temperatures it would soon have to face. Before each these made way into that fiery oven — quite shaped as a gingerbread house — the girl gave not hesitation to take little a taste to its gooey delicacies, and found all to be most … uhh … well … wonderful?  Bizarre indeed it held a flavor, like that of a strange, foreign dish from Japan combined with something bizarrely Canadian. Were the eggs mixed properly enough? Distributed indeed they looked to her eyes, although one could never be so certain. Oh well, perhaps as just a new taste it would come for those elves, providing most an interesting experience to all their scrupulous taste buds. With slight then a smirk, the girl thrust each her fine specimens upon their parchment paper covered rainbow tray into that magical oven of gingerbread making.

Now, with here this time side for conversation, it is best to point out something of rather importance, quite that none a book of recipe nor creation from remembrance observation these specimens created had originated but rather instead from something many would call as "winging it"; that is, using whatever is just at moment's hand and adapting whatever could from it, with hopes all of smooth a conquested reaction occurring. Indeed, universally crazy it was at cost, but stick for just this moment now its methodology, as same this girl had with random all her measurements of intuition.

Double a five minutes later, then once more, here we are now as the girl commenced straight a halt to all her lovely explorations of that magical Sugar Kitchen – which really was quite the place unique, with one a gumdrop-inspired refrigerator in color orange and a rug of stretched rainbow taffy – and decided time it best to check on first her batch of wonderfully scrumptious dolloped delicacies, so tender and warm, colorful and chocolaty (as after all discovered she had those idiosyncratic fudge covered sprinkles and that luxurious candy cane pineapple frosting oh-so unique), sweetly extreme in aroma, destined for goop and importance, so all — unbelievably burnt to a crisp! Practically smoking on fire each those depressed, lonesome clumps existed. How could this have happened? Surely some mistake there must have been! Perhaps it had been Rudolph, for always quite the sneaky culprit he had indeed seemed. Oh well, guess a call for the elf fire department it would have to be — and fast! Perhaps baking for behind-the-scenes Christmas magic was neither reasonably her specialty. After getting all discord mostly sorted out, possibly a specific another arrived by thought respect her brain, one not quite before within speculation. For perhaps proper deliverance the special gifts it could come her responsibility, assisting with care the reindeer and loading of the sleigh – though of course at this early the year, the latter could easily be excluded from such equation. Perfect-oh it was, why not thought of before? Always a care she had in soul for animals galore. Why, how those reindeer would just love each her specialties! With bright a mind most adapted, off to the stables commenced she'd go.

Upon arrival, a bucket of carrots and grain and a brush she went to retrieve, for deliverance of these flyers' hearty snacktime and morning groom indeed. (Only then modest brought the thought, a hope she had that her mother had somehow already managed to bake all sweets, for certainly not a tray of few burnt dough lumps could ever adequate enough for the stomachs of those 500,000 elves of mass; luckily for all, as soon discovered, this turned out exact the case.) That bucket of solids the girl altruistically poured into whole the tray for all to munch and began her comb. All stood quite well and good — happy, even one could call it; or it was, until suddenly a stench came relatively swift nearby, though as she looked from location unknown. Paced the brushing she continued, but here it came again, only this time there indeed it was sighted, coming from a breath exact that reindeer she gave time to groom. Intentionally it seemed he sneakily spun head her way, every time on fur and smoothing she remained her gaze focused, to swing around and produce forth a most "puff" in breath, a stink bomb quite in truth. Further apart from his face the girl journeyed her brushing, closer towards by the tail, hopes with of avoiding more that hideous, rotten-carrot breath, but there too produced even more a stretch, one coming as most a "pfft!" quick in audible action. My, whom this was causing her life so miserable? Rudolph. Of course, she should have known, upon sight first his nose. Well then perhaps to another reindeer more deserving she would allow to shift her attentions, for none respectful was this one attempted in front. As experienced to a couple of others, however, it seemed quite all the same, some burping, then farting, puffs in breath, and for one even so hint a dropping of poo on her shoe!

Maybe then so it was, though they she adored, the others not quite so much to her, although certainly question the girl did this reality her own. Activity this seemed not hers to enjoy, though where was next? An occupation everyone seemed to have, and fulfilled their role all did so well. Santa took the responsibility in his deliveries, checking twice two his list. Mrs. Clause the baking and stitching expert of all the North Pole, herself creating all sorts of recipes for enjoyment of all and serving as the adjuster of that wondrously magical Christmas bag. As for those elves, duty called all for the building, shipping, and planning of gifts, materials, and Santa's sleigh (oh that fine specimen she wished to ride!). Not to ever forget those reindeer, special for the responsible delivery of Santa and sleigh.

And then there was her. Good old herself as young a girl. What did she do so proud, so significant of importance to cause drastic effect on day of Christmas — and all days before? Maybe best it was now to return back to her activities of joy — snowman building, dancing, exploration — and perhaps then a sparkle of inspiration just might influence in mind, or perhaps a solution to purpose all worry. Or well not.

At least for moment's now.

Year all it seemed the girl waited her soul for some type of resolution to appear her path, as evidence for her ability to support and understand all the acts of gift-giving and magic. Other trials she had, all as such: attempting to sew Santa's bag, only then poking her finger with the needle; keeping track of all the made gifts, their categories, and possibly everything that needed counting, eventually though loosing count; and even going out to the Christmas-wood forest to help cutting some wood for the toys in building (that she failed of too, for first and single the tree she sliced landed directly upon a nearby elf — whom I'll say was doing his job correctly). All it came, quite obviously, without avail. Last quick it seemed to arrive, days after months of endeavor, that day so fun yet so dreadful, when announce again her father would most certainly, of her that tenth year in life, still unprepared most to strengthen such the journey and its gift-giving and magic. After all her jumped logs and missed waters, the girl was not even sure how to define each anyway. Alone she would then be left, upon single her bed with farewell a "Ho, Ho, Ho! Merry Christmas.". Just the thought brought quite the cringe of disappointment to powder her soul, like sugar would on donuts but only quite less without sweet. Emotions threatened to spill over the top and the girl felt herself all mistaken.

Like this meant she felt it was not, but if another did not put to change, then how would it ever? Thought then arrived an interestingly conclusive one as that, one quite sneaky, and unsure she was relating its outcome. If time it did not bring too late, then perhaps indeed a call for action it could be called, one of movement her own towards smoothing part her wish to visit another distant sight. Sprung to her feet once again from the bed, but this occurrence not to find herself yet another useless purpose but instead to make herself a purposeful attempt, that never had before existence. Indeed , in Christmas PJ's, fuzzy-wuzzy slippers, and all exact she already was, raced she did towards the door, and though before departure made to grasp one her lucky snowglobes, that most recently of received that Christmas Day, featuring a door in red color, ornamented with a wreath, a gift box just front below, pillars with wrapped Christmas lights, and several other exciting Christmas trinkets.. A family's front porch it was, or as the girl assumed, one during Christmas time and certainly unique from any other globe she had ever before received. Another thought she allowed not to bring and flew down the steps, landing as quite the mighty feline, and striking herself dramatically through the mansion's front and only door out (strange, I know right? One or many a firefighter would certainly not approve of such that architect), crossed into the deep night. As for her outwear, never cold it was up here the North Pole, remaining all a comfortable seventy-five degree year-round, even with the feetloads of snow and ice most received. Temperature was something "abnormal", as single the girl's father had called it, though the girl never really understood the meaning, for only ever she had been exposed to this perfectly peaceful climate, believing its existence manipulated everywhere.

Up way high above, floating a bird amongst the midst of the clouds, there was spotted her father (dear Mr. Santa!) in arced pattern the sky most common. After fast his trail the girl went quick a sprint, though only her meters below. Towards all those civilized towns she was determined to follow, although the farther she traveled, the more uncertain she grew. Could she make it all the way? Never a map she had glanced in life, so quite lost she just might become. Perhaps as long as she made to never abandon his sight high above, all would remain alright. With most attention to that where she was headed, eyes assessing straight upwards, easily in shock it came surprised as forwardly she planted, face directly into the snow below. Luckily, snow as she knew it was not hot or cold, just there, so quite alright she was, as though fallen just into a bed of cotton. A loose branch it had been, or perhaps the stump of a tree, maybe even a chunk of ice misplaced to have caused for such the falling. Easily she could not seem to identify, but as mind went knowingly distracted, indeed another sight high above she saw, only though not. There a sky of blank wonders, shimmering stars, aura borealis — oh and look, there was indeed the crescent moon! There not, however, that of a wistful sleigh or jingle of reindeer all the way. Only a second it had been her eyes to wander, and yet all her guide the sky had so seemed to disappear. About the snowy area the girl shuffled, feet and limbs unsure where exact to direct their body. Far to far she was from the workshop to even commence sight, so that was certainly not an option. Although, just affront, there indeed was some strange sort of bright light, a rainbow in color that reminded her most of a Christmas sparkle, so of course towards it she went. Suddenly, as she neared its closer, a most cool breeze blew across, incorporated through the landmass of snow she crossed, the oxygen inhaled through her circulatory system, and that passed the outermost layer her skin. For reasons it came unknown, this player in nature caused quite the frost, a first-sensed cold chill to each her free limbs, especially for most exposed her fingers and face.

A change in temperature? Why, that would never stop her curiosities! Onwards towards specific that light of rainbow she so persisted in way. Revealed there it was to be rectangular a sign attached to a long, cylindrical stick, wrapped all in Christmas bulbs, decorated with candy canes, and completed with spherical an ornament on top. A phrase it depicted, of "Welcome to the North Pole!" Back it pointed the direction she had just come. This border she had crossed, a deed most courageous at that, for none ever the North Pole would ever think to accomplish, aside from Santa himself. Most proud she felt — though at the sense of yet another cool breeze immediately made feel for the opposite.

Condition was getting worse. Was there perhaps a shelter to find, one possibly to construct a fire to quite possibly thaw her icy toes and fingers? A wander yet again she commenced, slow and steady in her frozen state. Apparently it was then though to reality, for suddenly there was an igloo the distance, brick upon brick of dense ice and snow. Small it seemed in size, with too an extremely miniscule entrance, like that for a mouse, rounded all to an arch. With not the slightest moment's hesitation, the girl made of frozen tin stiffy ran in direction towards its front and on bare hands and PJ-covered knees, crawled into its arched tunnel walls. Easily inside she could stand up, but more it seemed than that, for rather gigantium it was inside, large enough to perhaps enclose an entire football stadium and of course each its bulky players, numbers 1 through 50, and then herself. Outside, merely a residence for one it had appeared, even perhaps that for an elf..

Well great and all this mansion space was, but none there was a fireplace as expected, sources of heat, nor even the elements to begin such fire. Too cool it would have been, as this girl living in magical climate paradise had never actually had the opportunity to feel or see the sparkling warmth of a place with fire. Oh, well though mentioned, of course there was no fire; it was a house of ice and snow for Rudolph's sake, nothing but accumulated H2O frosted in sight! How she wished for something helpful, a however unique "wow!" of magic to cross her path, return her feet to toasty, and possibly incorporate itself a guide into her finding direction.

For it to the sky – or perhaps the smoothed interior surface of the igloo — the girl gave her glance, hoping to catch smallest the sight of sign, a vision to mind; and there it was. A snowflake graceful amongst all air, slow at a drift downwards from above. From where it came she held not quite clue, but a wonder it was indeed spectacular a hint in skilled performance. As its geometry fixed gave twists and twirls, the girl watched as directly upon her nose it landed as a ballerina in grace, as placed simply one its six corners. Just upon landing that, all through mind lit up and warmth once again the girl felt rushing through her core, defrosting each her fingers and restoring moisture to all the dries in her throat. Relieved, the girl leaned slight forwards, and just as simple, all was gone as from its top that snowflake tumbled in motion, down towards surface the snow below. A voice she heard, coming as though from far a distance but remaining yet so near. Interesting;y, action was as word was spoken so soft, and intently the girl eagerly gave her ear a listen, wondering just what might exist there in word to inform.

"Worry not, for here it is I, a gift for blessed your soul. Use me well but not much so that your may attempt at fracture to my soul. I say a warmth I can bring in many ways, one of coat, other of cocoa, and of course true even a fire! Anything all here you wish, as let me first explain the rules. Lay form my upon a block of ice and press quite firm, then make hesitation not to state what is your dream come true. Appear it will rather slow from beneath the ice, rising up and defining shape, factors morphing in description. Wait it there three solid seconds and quintessential it shall commence, ready all to support your wish. Take it as a grant wise of only proper, feasible use." With that to end all waves the wind returned in silence, and magical glow for presence that snowflake gave quick as cease. Alone amongst her thought the girl there remained, indeed unsure all the same.

Well, why not try it, what smallest loss could it ever bring? To the ice below she benignly laid its  surface, just as spoke had that same flake of snow. A wish true then she made, description of an open mind and placement at heart, that a very sparkly mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows jumbo, a twisty straw, and unicorn-rainbow sprinkles. A test-trial it could be considered for slight odd this arrival in magic, though certainly one of worth, for easily commenced fom the surface below, first as a 2D image encrusted, then as a 3D form under the ice, ending last as a rise upwards, displaying a wondrously decorated figure of reality. Although once within a block of frozen ice it had been, indeed a breathful of steam it produced, causing rather a comfort to the girl's face and hands already most in shivers. A sip to its rich, creamy liquids melted all doubts away, and once again the girl felt as if a nice, soothing relaxation in the bathtub she was taking, all completed with rubber duckies and foamful bubbles (she wasn't, quite truthfully).

Moving on then, her step next would be to craft something more as layer for clothing. In mind, the most wondrous, uniquely spectacular articles she imagined, including fluffy rainbow coats, candy cane inspired high-rise boots, a chocolate chip hat, and all the softest mittens, scarves, socks — everything of standard a creative one could possibly imagine in design. As she made to lay the snowflake once again to the icy floor below, however, the only one image that seemed to describe in mind was that the outfit of her dear old father: a button-up, red overcoat, black, shiny boots, and a fluffy hat rather enormous with a rounded pom-pom at end's meet; and so it was the creation in formation. As each piece of section took their steps, rising slow in 3D manner, stunned the girl became at the similarity in appearance yet immediately slid into that single, fluffy overcoat. Disappointed though she became, as for quite enormously noticable the outfit placed upon small her nine-year-old stance, not to mention those giant's gloves practically dangling from each her hands and fingers. Whatever wished had indeed come true, but exactly as she had imagined, a size exact her father's! Though quite a source of warmth it provided, and therefore the girl decided to make all most a do.

Just so that moment it posed to happen, a frozen breeze from the world beyond outside, thrusting billows of powerful snowflakes, one after hundreds, through single entrance the cave piling higher and higher until not even the smallest sliver of light could be sighted from the moon. Luckily bundled this girl was by her Santa coat so large, otherwise a frosted icicle she would most probably be, but now her only means of leaving (or anyone else's in entering) were slimmed to a desperate nothing.

Where to turn, where to turn?

Well now wait just a split second, it was a snowflake of pure magic she had, one to produce hot drinks, outgear, and even a fire, all mentioned (although she would never try it, for something told her that fire would not come quite functional within an enclosed igloo). A scheming glance yet she gave its direction. Assistance it would certainly give her to rid of that high-piled snow. Quite like a frisbee then, the girl aimed her force and focused her throw, sending the snowflake of all magics in direction full swing towards that hidden entrance. All speedy through the air it soared its might, hurling faster and faster than a turbo-boomerang, rotation fasting and fasting until …

"Pfft!"

Gone like that, disappeared all in a cloud blending of icy particles into the dense snow surrounding. Perhaps the crystal lattice its form wasn't as strong as she'd expected, but none that was upon her mind. That only source of magic her own, the only ever experienced warmth, happiness, life — okay maybe that took it slightly too past our limits in reality. At least though her oversized coat, boots, and mug of hot cocoa (although now only empty) she still retained.

What to discover now, what to discover now?

Well, there was certainly that most completely random surface of compacted frozen wall over there within that space of simple, white grounds and absolutely no special designs or patterns marking to distinguish it from the rest. Perhaps there she could make her quiet settling for frankly this moment's now. With quick speedy a march, the girl all frozen reached nearer the space. Angling then her back towards direct its solid, dense, most reliably trustable surface, the girl leaned with ease all her weight in blithe. Like all that had previously occurred, however, this perfect peace was just simply not meant to be. At the immediate pressure of slight her back, only ever slightest that touch, the entire chunk of compacted snow decided it best to so easily all collapse upon itself, leaving remaining there a massive, shaped opening within the wall. With nothing left ever for support, and down the girl fell her way, direct upon her backside, landing though soft. To make matters all so exquisite, enormous next a flurry of snow from above plummeted downwards, blanketing all her shape existent. Just like that, a snowman buried heavily in snow she had become, not even a mittened finger left in slight. With all muscle strengths incorporated, slow and steady the girl raised up again to her waist, sending flying amounts of that snow fallen to each her besides, remaining unsure how exact that event of much shockful outcome had ever meant to occur.

With a turn behind, unexpected it came to sight the expanse of a lengthy tunnel, leading quite far towards the space of "who knows where", nothing of sort the world outside. Just how gargantuan could this structure of simple frost expand back? Nevertheless, an excitement immediately filled spirit the girl, for there an exit she now had — or would it simply prove to be just another entrance to location in mystery? Well, there she was to soon find out. Onto her waddling, black duck feet the girl went, pacing a trail forth all ways through unique that road of snow all in shimmer, towards direct the ending (and indeed there was). A halt aroused here all suddenly, for just affront, the interior had once again expanded into something voluminous, greater even other than space before. A pattern there it held, all in glitzy-glimmers and shine, a magical wonderland with ice crystals dripping most steadily from overhead, half-spheres marking endless patterns all across the walls, and peaceful a wonder enveloping  the space. Enthralled this girl in hope became, and without the slightest hint hesitation began to shuffle her feet forth to achieve towards only closer its marvelous features of prominence. Not a look she gave for thought, however, ways down towards the type of surface she was about to engage upon below. There it was she felt her slip, and a loss there in balance immediately sent arms all soaring, each serving as though single its own chicken wing. Even though balance eventually came again gained, never commencing down a tumble, movement still forwardly persisted in uncontrollable sliding, for that is what happens when one makes to stand upon smooth an ice surface with so rather frictionless their boots, and to the center in all the space she slid. It was not quite as expected to come, but certainly wish to get a sight more had indeed commenced a truth. For fortuitous moment at least, admire around she would with eyes, glancing at each drip, drop, drip from each special those ice crystals above. A magical song the girl felt arising, one of wonder in trance, which especially made her want to dance! Uncontrollable this girl was towards her skills upon this frozen floor of dance, and a foot tap first she began, ranging it precautioned, then unique an arm's wiggle and commencing with the boogie slide. My, a dance upon the ice had never felt so refreshingly in zest, even without useful those ice skates of glide, often more she should take it a try.

This groove and all proved indeed a joy of life, but something slight there it seemed more obvious to take consideration in mind. Held this ice not only the girl's light mass but too large her boots, enormous coat, and especially even the pressures from her wacky steps in dance, so perhaps no wonder it came as single a crack sounded slight below. Instantly, this little hint reproduced its code, extending both left, right, front, back, all ways in shift until only a most imperfectly outlined ice sheet lay below a most imperfectly terrified girl, holding only so still her breath and body, and bracing for whatever was to next happen. Creek, crack the floor commenced, as though the ice itself was part of some old, boarded, wooden flooring of haunted a mansion in doom. Commenced just last a moment's beat in silence until at last all collapsed under, a snap in time. Liquid water the girl felt herself plunge through, a substance swift and smooth, yet expressing not even slightest the hint in cold frost, but rather a silky air of none other than room temperature. Watery breaths neither inflicted as she took, with H20 acting all as easy air. As each her limbs spread to her sides, the girl observed in uttermost wonder as bubbles began forming all around, spherical shapes of clear, smooth textures. It was not air that filled these but rather surprisingly indeed images of portrait, flexible each and shifting in pattern, scene, and magic. With wonderstruck her eyes, an active mind at perception, the girl sighted a glance through each the descriptions of portrayed each a child, young boy or girl sitting calm by special a Christmas tree their own, a box of decorative papers, lucious ribbons, and a tag of name certainly distinguished at hand. Peaceful each moment seemed, happy within expression, a grateful hope and light, spirit and bright natures. As fast as before wrapped by the elves each was ripped split to pieces, revealing there a toy for each them unique. Ponderment the girl had to give, slight in confusion though other of revelation treasured. Certainly it had been her father to have delivered each these gifts — that jolly and perfect man himself — escorted by each those in magic his reindeer, who were each then groomed by intelligently worthy those elves of present gifts, whose energy was all cared for by dear and caring Mrs. Clause, her mother provided, who participated also in the sowing of Santa's bag in sleigh. All had their part in contributing to gift each these holdholds in view, commencing opportunity, spreading delight from one the household northed the pole. A cycled equation of constant flow it seemed, but except one holding a factor extra with purpose quite unknown. Yet with one this extra, function these numbers could not smoothly, and equilibrium ceased its perfection. It was her that one out, the fish of fresh water tangled to within a desert of salt, scorching death under that discharging sun of doom. Was then that her issue, her skill of wronged gift-giving and magic unknowingly panorama?

There then suddenly she felt the thrust, a lift from below towards expected that resided, horizontal surface overhead. Strange she might have to say it was, for forced this effect brought first favored her feet with boots over light head with hat and, no matter how the girl attempted to fail her arms wide, immediately sent these bottoms at all thrust upwards towards the sky. As black her heavy boots reached contact to then the icy level of sight, a crack most again came to appear, for frozen over it had before, though short quite the time. Again a traveler through the icy crust she glided — eyes all closed of course, a feared expectation profoundly pervading inside. When each pupil decided to its opening, awakening from short that returned parting of water to air, revealed then to a world of white and black, herself rather strangely unsoaked. Below though the black horizon of sky desperately was, the icy, white surfaces of snow encrusted above head, each definitely quite locked to location, which could only truly  give the meaning —

SPLASH!

Back again into the pool of water she zoomed, landing direct from her upside-down stance, head-first, straight-down, not even slightest a moment in hesitation — though this time, with a feel indeed very icy. Strangely though too it seemed, only second that occurrance's fall effected to allow water wetness upon clothing and form the girl, none the time before of first. Had she even been within a sort of water the first or would it only reveal to have been another wonderfully strange magic from that night? Could ever it be this girl to tell. Upwards she surfaced once more, applying all efforts to climb then with weight all her water-infused suit upon that ice sheet direct to balance her feet. Though most soaked indeed she felt herself from head to toe, more at heart it seemed drenched she was as returned came that worldly revelation of metaphorical unbalanced equation and how so tattered in veracity it emerged. From edge the ice to snowy a two-way road the girl began her walk — slow and steady, as though with time all for talk.

A town she appeared to be crossing, itself indeed a curiosity, housed though with a title quite unknown. Lights for Christmas were all strung their own, just as expected always she had this time of human holiday, with snow scattered all around, perhaps gorgeous as a winter wonderland. Amazement though it brought not to she, for instead only crossed her mind proliferated slightest a worry, thought of unacceptance, of a pieced disappointment towards her perfect father. Perhaps truly nothing indeed she contributed to the Christmas season, but most especially that she had not yet even to learn the meanings behind gift-giving and magic. It was a prophecy none would ever wish themself to claim. House she passed after house, family after family, child after child, and smile joyful after smile proud. All seemed so uplifted, the world entire with hearts in peace — except … just there suddenly it was noticed, through exact one a housed window, the most prominent standing ever known to arouse speculation and question: an expression of frown. How would the face of any reflect such an upside-down style this very Christmas Eve? It just simply couldn't be to make proper human sense!

Unsurprisingly as it would come, as question dear suddenly it arrived to the girl's ample mind. Why in all the world were all these children opening their gifts on Christmas Eve? Had already full a day passed during her journey, while lodged within that ice-glue, then within that bubble-visioned world below? Or did time, same as temperature, function differently outside her world the North Pole? Well, how rude then it was, playing tricks on her like Rudolph and that certain sneaky stench his breath! (Never would she forget the disturbance that day had so brought.) Matter it not by importance, however, for focus could only settle mind upon that smile-overturned boy the distance, his face of disheartened crystals gloomy. By an elaborate Christmas tree he stood, formally decorated with loose streamers, rainbow ornaments, brillant corded lights, and a very magical star direct upon tippy-top. Humble and natured the house appeared, alongst a fire smoking with much warmth through the chimney. All seemed so complete in methodology and function, so whatever it was the problem wrong for this soul the girl could not quite possibly seem to identify. As a circle within a structure of all squares suddenly it commenced in thought, and observed the girl did both under and around the tree as well somewhere within the boy's very two hands, sighting not single a scrap of wrapping paper, ribbon, toy, or even unraveled gift. To the pine this little boy held mighty his stare, possibly running through every reason ever why Santa had so conceivably found him undeserving for gift of Christmas specific that year, just as indeed the girl was indeed pondering upon that moment. Why it was this house in particular her father had decidingly made to skip? Naughty the boy seemed none appear, nor selfish or cruel, or an alien without citizenship to planet Earth to be considered eligible for such the gift (although to be fair, the girl really could not determine for certain this speculation with just a glance, so more a hunch in connection it was from separate her minded intuition). Though the girl could not truly place where within the message it fit, a thought aside had just so slowly begun taking form within mind, an idea that perhaps was built to defy everything indeed her mind had ever contained with evident honesty.

Slight just before its 100% completed download, however, the sudden touch of a heavy mittened hand to her shoulder immediately caused for a distracted startle, frighting all the bamboozles out from the girl. The only factor that seemed to prevent the girl from taking a full leaped-forwardly-jump in action — and quite possibly a collapse to her feet, was the note given from a very jolly voice from behind. With great a jostle the girl spun herself about, and there indeed he stood, her father old Clause, all with complete his beard lengthful and overcoat of quite proper fit, all the same as always elapsed in recall. Only, in mind's eye her own, a soul statically the same he was not. That little boy, not a year over two, he had left most forgotten, and still allow continued a smile this jolly man gave? Defined sense it seemed made not. Instead, a resentment of quite bizarre feeling the girl noticed building instead deep within her soul, one never of before detection, as just once again the other commenced sound with speech.

"Quite a journey I'm assured it must have taken. I'd say, impressed I am with your skills and amounts of dedication."

Impressed? Now where would that have come from? Perhaps to just all she had ever believed and found to discover within these last few hours it placed quite the debate.

"Father, I don't understand. Horrible mistakes only I've made, with means none to support this season of Christmas, nor even have I been able to distinguish those true meanings of gift-giving or magic in constant reminder mentioned. It is why you tell it too, every night on Christmas Eve, not an allow upon your sleigh nor distant travels as far as I've ventured from very that pole up north. In fact, I don't even know where here this journey has taken me; some town in celebration Christmas. Only a disappointment it points these decisions I've created."

"What talk are you, my daughter for magic's sake? Consider perhaps this struggle you communicate and who then defines it to be considered with truth. Mind my own you cannot read as fact, which makes the thought only a possible hunch within that mind titled your own. Take the advice and dare I say not a truth to that speculation in confusion. And no, reason yet another it was I feared you a ride upon my sleigh, for behind me it is, indeed this day." A pause the jolly man took, slightly with embarrassment, a point behind to background of empty nothingness — at least, to view the girl. Santa made to return his glance the objective. "Outside see walls of North Pole our home, a thing my sleigh remains not of easy sight, though certainly its bells of jungle it remainly keeps, as too that stench there of reindeer fur and droppings" (this the girl could serve to as witness). Tricky it was for the girl to quite grasp complete the concept to mind, but the determined attention of another compelled her to arrive not even closer.

"Well, a matter it remains mere this moment, for a sight I gave slight that house beyond just, to the hands direct a boy with no gift. Had it been misplaced, I ask, or is this boy truly indeed a truant past from what outer I sense?" the girl eagerly asked forth

"There quite I see it appears to be held the problem, for a mistake my own it certainly had been, a bringing caused only itself. Perhaps that list I had failed to thoroughly check twice, or maybe from start the elves themselves had forgotten to load or even manufacture, or then again it could have been that enormous hole discovered I within that bag of gifts, giving opportunity for objects loose to befall, and assistance the reindeer gave none application. Only yet single this boy it seemed I had forgotten, solitary a happiness lost, never a cause for spirit jolly." Despite all oddly interesting her poetic tone in voice, a shock in revelation quite these words brought. Never could ever the girl recall a mistake her father to make, for within all his yearly stories before her Christmas Eve bedtime, a hero he had been, never that a cause of trouble; yet here now he was, a factor misshapen within the perfectly before balanced equation (splendid she was not the only one). That certainly revealed, but still for important a solution still needed to be made, for still a saddened soul of boy beside just his desolate Christmas tree remained happiness at stake!

"Quite believe it truly do I, but wonder I must for what we are next to do? A gift this boy needs for require up to this moment, though certainly not of coal nor useless socks, both I know you always carry plenty spare of. Something unique it should be, something splendiferous, something — well thought indeed! That sleigh invisible behind, you must still have your magical bag of presents, right is it? Certainty something you must have extra, a specific to arouse delights and might for all." Pleadingly the girl gave eyes wide towards her father, along with two thumbs-up, a wonder splotched all across her face. Quite though suggested, not a turn Santa made towards his sleigh behind, as if already defined existed the answers each her questions.

"I'm afraid the ratio is quite a one-to-one, a gift single per child, with none more or less. This brings quite why a confusion I had with none to deliver for special this young star. Reason even for me it failed to make understandable purpose." Fixedly the girl made thought at her father's words.

"Perhaps then a gift from plain air simply you could conjure, sending it down through the chimney as any other directly to land into the young boy's treasured hands. All would most certainly end well then. Or even at the front door you could make it as a delivery, special for his receiving soul, yourself the mailman, for obviously all this Christmas morning he had most possibly been waiting at patience for his something unique's arrival. Easily though, we can fix this!" Rushed from mouth the girl's words had each come, as though a failing tractor plowing and pushing through the last statement a cornfield of lengthy monologue. At least all considered thought she had managed to express, a sign possible good itself. There then it was arrived so suddenly, forwardly in stance, that certain smile her father gave only before an unexpected occurrence was about to commence forth from his mustached pie-hole of goofiness; and indeed speculation did more extra to prove its truth..

"Unfortunate it brings as chance, that chimney remains not a choice for gift-dropping, for lit is and wouldn't certainly fire cause for an explosion of decorated paper flame. Myself to door, however remains neither a choice, for it is within the Santa's code of conduct – that I made myself, as you have been always aware — to never be seen by a person another outside the pole north this world's sight, and direct to it I shall empower my follow. As for that gift, indeed a gift in make I can, but only in terms of a gift box, not quite so the contents within, for a job that belongs to the elves, as understood. Clumsy and stiff, rather never nimble, sadly I prove to be with chunky, clunky these fingers my own. It is here then I make the proposition I rest assure you had sighted earlier defined within particular expression my visage. It is not I, the basic deliver of Christmas gifts, that should be noted but rather yourself of unique standing that shall deliver this gift in responsibility, and gift specific yourself has already brought within very left distinct your pocket." Okay — hold on a slightest step-up-chimney-top second of a minute. Did her father really just imply that it would be she with honor and place to deliver special the gift? Thoughts rushed their way inwards, explaining with the evidence of a hundred words that a gift-giver she was not, nor a contributor to Christmas in any way, shape, or form. Deservance was simply not to be a position oriented her own.

"Sight for this opportunity I do not, for it feels in my emotions own a responsibility supposedly locked following those words yours exact. Perhaps belief I don't have towards what you had so stated, for any type of gift-giver I am not, nor ever have I been." Last most this all indeed held part its truth, for never she had gifted for another, not single a chocolate bar, nor a helpful hand with chores (she had none assigned in truth), and certainly never a professional gift box as brought returned memory. The expert her father was at these sort of movements, even the same those elves. All were just so confidently placed to position, and what could ever seem to go wrong as trial. What first mistake just might she make in the process? Thought then bolted a star-encompassed shooting star from afar and most lit within each her eyes. What was it that about her left pocket again he had mentioned? With small a hand she observed, feeling all sides about its interior, hoping  just slight in secret to locate that certain something in speculation, perhaps a revelation transferred from magic her father. Nothing though she felt in any which way, direction, or manner, leaving all deserted as a room of desolate nothingness without even walls structured of code.

"I don't understand, the pocket appears empty, seizing notation in rebuttal against even those words your own. If only now here we had that magical snowflake of joy, one I had so found within a mysterious cave from before — a story for time another. Anything this specimen could create, perhaps all that could ever develop within the mind's eye. Advice for this gift perfect I would have been able to ask all its wonders for precisely this moment. How it disappoints me to mention that I had chunked it towards a wall of ice — like a frisbee of nothingness! — forcing a destruction to all its magic so dear. Reason it was for trial and error, you see; I had become trapped and only believed it could give assist. Alas, none longer I can ask — oh, what doom of we all are!" Just as the girl seemed making to inflict upon herself a dejected display of emotion, a laughter uprising from her father immediately sent to cause her way off-guard, and only startled she became in mouth and nostrils agape.

"What mistakes indeed I, Santa, again can cause! My left, it was to be said, your right, deepest all my apologies. Although, certainly extraordinary I find it that for all these other solutions you have made to produce. Bravo is it towards your own braveries so extraordinary." Feeling a smile creeping to pink her cheeks, the girl decided to just simply let all flow in blush, then moved to check right her pocket. And there it was. At first, its rounded, glass-like texture easily struck her a lead to confusion; however, after only slight a feel to its pyramid base embellished with sides wavy patterns, odd formalities of manufacture, the girl immediately could recognize exact that it was, for only one her precious snowglobes could have had such the unique representation. As slow she then retrieved forth its stance, appearance easily demonstrated itself equal to observation. There it was, that snowglobe her father had gifted her only very the Christmas Eve night before, that with the red door and seemingly random gift-box in front, that orb which she had so stashed in her pocket as for what she decidingly called a "good-luck charm" — and perhaps indeed it had been proved. After all, provided it did the perfect gift, along with an opportunity for herself to finally experience the deed of gift-giving and all the wonders it could commence the soul. Although, it was her Christmas present — none that mattered, plenty more those crystal spheres she had at home for comfort; right now, only this boy it was who required the magic. With firm a nod her head (perhaps even slight a smile in positivity) the girl unhesitantly produced turn upon foot and headed direct towards the house of none before visit. Upon now there its porch, she allowingly separated a time for herself a thought in think. How could she begin, do, or act? Another fact there remained to consider: did after that disgraceful iced water fall she smell like a drenched dog? Luckily at least dry she was in greatest opinion. Smile it did upon her that to give ponder these worries would only adapt them further along into advanced evolution and that instead, motivation of positive action it was better to commence.

So therefore the scene beforeth she gave both eye and finger to observe. A small spaced porch it was, with comfortable a table in the tiny corner, pillars proudly around, decorated all with wonderfully colorful, vibrant strands of rainbow Christmas lights. Upon unique the table stood dignified a plastically-formed snowman, and just affront the door a rough, tinseled mat of welcomed status, exclaiming only though "Merry Christmas!" rather than the commonly boring "Welcome" the world knew as description. My indeed did this family aim impression to decorate! Appeared all the same as within the globe, just a size of life and even all the more magical. Just before total called it for a knock, suddenly sensed from behind came a wisp of cool air, sending quite the shutter through spinal cord the girl, but soon noticed she did only it a support delivered by her father as all though from distance away, the globe within her hands became magically wrapped into firm a violet box with a luscious, opulent, yellow bow. Always the greatest of ideas her father seemed to have, no matter how many mistakes he one could make, and just the right timing too. At last it was, and easily her knuckles gave a tickle of tap, tap, tap the yellow door in sparkle. Quietly smooth a footstep sounded within, creaking against all the wooden interior floorboards in honesty. Butterflies — or perhaps it was those chocolate chips now melted within her sipped cocoa — seemed to overtake all within her stomach, stretching from each corner and shaking it all about from horizontal to vertical, as though with aims to just simply flutter away that moment. Nervous though entire, the task felt a must to go on, for practically all it was this girl felt herself a strong life's dependence upon solving this boy's salvation. Swift then, the door slid a reveal open, exposing there the sight an elderly lady, that who couldn't have been any younger than ninety-seven and four months over (its a gift to tell distinguished age, I know), in a brilliantly stitched Christmas candy cane decorated nightgown alongst with a cup of tea (smell told easily that of mint) at hand, completed all a smiled face. Immediately, and quite surprisingly too, it came that this old woman reached over and yanked to hold specifically palm of hand free of giftbox the girl's, vigorously then shaking the limb upwards and down and again once more until eventually the girl felt an odd and disturbing change arising in function own her circulation of blood.

"My, such a pleasure I say it is to finally encounter a greet your soul. All life it seems I have waited and sought for here this day of moment!" the old lady spoke with a sigh of astonished jubilation.

Dear, what in all the world to startle was this?!

"Indeed, a pleasure most it is I say to finally sight the world's most jollyful soul of gumdrops, none less of cause excitement filling all these interior organs my own."

Okay … something strange was definitely going on here, but what exactly it was the girl most flummoxed could just not seem to pinpoint.

"You're a lot shorter than I'd expected, dear sir — thinner too, but perhaps it is those fancy Santa magazine models just really failing to display truthful reality, so sorry about that, those I assure are certainly not under any my controls or opinion. Oh, just wait till I get my transparently glassed lenses on, much too exciting a moment this is for sight not to blur as well as memory in perfection within my brain." Slowly, the old woman reached into a small though functional hole within the side her nightdress, where there out she pulled a pair of eyeglasses, those then she placed direct in front her eyes upon the bridge her nose. As gleeful as so had that old lady before been, now only a shade in shock indeed expression she held, becoming that a bouncy-kangaroo in flabbergastment, commencing great and speedy a leap backwards.

"My dear goodness gracious, not the Santa Clause you are, but small a girl as perhaps an elf. Although, distinguished ears pointy form yours fails to have, nor that pointy, green hat with interestingly a bell on tip end but rather one to resemble Santa's of red fluff. Oh, Santa's special assister then you must be, and how exciting this is a sight to witness! Tell me nowhere, what is it of all most importance you have traveled from that North Pole above to arrive here to small this town of Petij live I? Allow please my assistance with every way necessary, and that my grandson's too, for only the two us it is who abide here this single one residence, but I assure you great help each we could make to provide." Well, an explanation indeed that gave frizzled that mind the young girl's. Imagine, her seen as Santa! Well, special that outfit the snowflake had given her, matched against that wrapped gift box held to hand, indeed both made for the factors convincing, so she supposed it could prove quite the speculation in sight possible. What a story though too of interest; herself, perhaps a helper of Santa, here to deliver a gift; it just might indeed be an outcome all work out.

"Oh — yes, quite I am, that Santa's helper of all assistance here, to bring all a gift special to most attentions. As you may realize, a gift my father — I mean, Santa Clause — forgot himself with mistake to deliver on Christmas Eve, and it just so happens here he specially sent me the task to deliver the gift, crafted most especially for your wonderfully deserving son of shimmering treasures. Consider it a sparkle of magic direct from the North Pole and from not the elves but Santa's own two hands for this home you and your son's very own." Had that came a bit much too exaggerated? Hope for certainly a negative it the girl wished. After all, the snowglobe had really been shaped in reality for her — or, well was it? What if a possibility just slight there retained that of all nature and destiny the globe had indeed been made for purpose other, as for deliverance all to this household specific, the thought just she found herself in process. Leave it to the fish to tell finding these truths, as she always said. Upon the hearing of the young girl's words, eager an excitement outrageous seemed to overtake spirits the elder grandma.

"Glorious is all this day! Kevin, dear? A  one special has come to greet the speciality one of exuberant you. Hurry, hurry, indeed!" From a room back – the family room, for precise exactness extra — a  path of sounded steps began its take, quite the "thump, thump, thump" down through the hall, each quickly quite an interval at pace, one that indeed the girl felt held just slightest a hope expressed. Appeared soon there a young boy, that young boy, who arrived with though a most sorrowful expression, a curious outlook. Behind dear his grandma this little boy went for hide, just as any other child might around that age, and whispered so sight.

"Goodness — grandma, is it really him, Santa here? But why is he a she? Explicitly I've always just assumefully thought that jolly a man he was, tall and thick from reason all those cookies and sliding crestfallen with quite white a beard and stache."

"Oh my dearest boy, indeed I do understand your confusion, for same the thought I had too, but here I'll tell stands a helper sent by Santa, coming to bring all specially this gift the jolly man had only himself prepared just for you." Ever slowly but most certainly, the eyes this boy grew in both width and height (perhaps too length, if that way one wished to think it), each shining their brightest at wonder. A dinosaur magical the girl newcomer could have been, and even then his face would not have became furthered to surprise.

"Is it true, am I really not a naughty boy in those eyes of Mr. Santa, that none it had been a fault my own but only a cause of chance mislead?"

"Of course indeed!" the girl practically shouted in emotion determined, surprising even possibly herself within the process. For uncertain a reason, slightest just a connection she felt in regarding this boy — not that way, if you know what I mean in definition those youngsters and their silly love habits — but one that instead questioned her own capability (seriously, that did not sound right). Anywho, that same negative feeling it was she  before had, that where she had felt a disappointment to Santa, equal this little boy had. Interesting it seemed too, because neither them actually could give proof for their negative speculations to hold any truth, rather belonging only to each mind imaginative their own. Each those words mentioned just before by her father immediately bounced right back. "Most deserving of course you my dear are, more than one could ever imagine or quantify, and I want you to indeed believe it. Complement that fact with then this box of gift here, for contained inside is hidden something quite special, a magic for only yours you, and one I'm certain will make certainly this holiday season the best ever yet!" How could it not? Receiving he would be something a miniature vortex of magic, one a defined image scenery same that his very front porch. Just before the girl was about to openly hand over notable that gift, however, the old woman herself decided to an interference, placing a hand directly between the girl, as well the gift, and her boy. For a moment it was the girl suspected herself guilty. Perhaps old women weren't really that gullible after all. Luckily, wrong this speculation was proven as a teethy smile commenced from the mouth this old lady, where the girl easily could sight each those pearly white dentures of hers (umm … eww?).

"My goodness dear girl, you most wonderful soul! I've just realized not a hint's worth of hospitality I have provided for way your soul. I commence you at once inside this instant from  that all bitter cold frozen temperature outside" (in fact, the girl was actually practically sweating as melted a snowman under all those layers her own) "and don't forget too to shimmy off those boots of black soles. Tracks I certainly do not want placed upon most clean my carpets. By glad sparkly that tree we will exchange this gift, and allow it first myself to bring us a batch my famous hot chocolate chippers, a mixture of both the cookie and milk. What a joy wouldn't it bring for us all!" With that, the old woman hurried herself off towards the kitchen. The girl, first taking to remove those bulky boots of hers, followed in rainbow socks as happily the young boy led towards the living room, always that precious gift at hand. Not a minute later proudly the baker arrived with her "pre-made, Monday-morning, buttercup-dark chocolate-swirled, Christmas cookies!" as easily she described them to be, and all settled snug about the tree, funky smiles quickly smeared like melted chocolate to all their faces — and it portrayed not just image the cookies, but instead that the grandma was wearing her plaid-decorated apron backwards. Anywho though that was, readily the girl made to pass on over the dedicated gift specific, occurrence made more thankful all by the grandma, who watched with tears, eyes and hands clasped across heart, than even delighted the boy himself. Could a dramatic grandma demonstrate to be any more embarrassing? Held so gentle the boy did his present box, then there giving it ever slightest a graceful shake (horizontal, thankfully), causing all a proudness to sprout from that soul the girl's so grand. With hands of care the boy unraveled his treasure and as though magically revealed that globe in which we all indeed have knowledge. Commencing his face a crystal grin emerged, ear to ear, and easily aware it became known a joy certain he held. Happier the girl could not feel to sight such his face, that which she had caused all in emotion, all from an uplifted action her own. Was that it then, the spark she had felt missing? Gift-giving it was at its height, sparkled already by a lightning of a snow-globed wonderland.

"Granny, look, look! It's our front porch, that we were standing only seconds before, all with its colorful Christmas bulbs, that "Merry Christmas" mat, and even our oddly-pigmented door! Never had Santa forgotten, it was only I displeased, but never will I again jump to such conclusions. Helper of Santa, you kind, courageous soul, please exchange a "hi" for say to that jolly man of wonder, passing on my thanks for days forever to come!" Well, quite indeed a vocabulary this three-year-old had; impressed rather the girl was, further only proving that never naughty this young man could be. All alas gave final their farewells and departed single the girl went with jolly great a swift in step, promising to speak word of gratitude – and perhaps a forgiveness of the gift forgotten — to the cherished and depended Santa Clause himself.

"Well, how'd it go?" Came as the very first words the girl heard nearing again her father Clause. "Certainly a Santa, although false in form — let's call it an actress  — you were back there." Expression the girl could not help containment inward and raced into both his open arms. Most lucky she was to have such a thoughtful father as he, for to a whole new world she had been exposed, one where indeed she saw morphed happiness, felt strong devotion, and became able to truly acknowledge the value in that quite honestly confusing mind her own.

"All a wonder it had been, and so friendly everyone was. Forgotten, of course, that boy had felt, but hope never did he give up, remaining always strong with belief in the magic. Impressed greatly I am that you had pulled it off, but now tell me so, how did you know of that globe within left — or right, as it ended — my pocket?" A bliss it was that seemed to expand throughout all the jolly man's grin, emitting a most sneaky suspicion to view.

"More perhaps I'd say that you made all that resolution. It was the globe you had brought, the walk and determination you had efforted, and the delivery all your own in true heartfelt nature. There is no power extra need be, nor identity, nor approval. You are you, a story indeed its own and still in making. As for myself, a bit more careful I ought to be while glancing my list, perhaps Mrs. Clause with delicate her stitchings, and even those elves with lengthy their organized packings. Magic indeed I have, for that was how I was able to sense the presence of your globe, but perfection I do not. Perhaps that is just indeed what makes us each a perfectly 'unbalanced equation', as with my magic I'd heard you state, neither with too many x's or too little y's but instead a rough, mixed solution of all the many possible answers." A pause was taken alongst a long, deep, soothing breath from each. Together at once it seemed, a glance over the Christmas sky above, a twinkle reflecting from all eye three. "Quite I feel there is to be said, don't silence it here, a time long you have been awaiting, part the journey you had indeed yourself embarked beyond the North Pole. Another wish yet I am aware there is to remain, that for a ride upon my sleigh. Given chance it was not for fear my own of reaction towards its heights appearing invisible, and for that greatly I apologize. Faith or confidence more I should have shown towards daughter my own, meaning that quite quantity I have left to learn. It is this I command a definition, that tonight at final it is yourself who will guide this sleigh, over across hills and rivers, beyond lowly houses and highest clouds. A leap great it most certainly is to task, but reassurance here I shall provide complete support. Only last a call for forgiveness it come the purpose, and make not a doubt about its meaning commenced. The trick I'll tell is to not look down." The last was spoken with slight nervous a chuckle, which was indeed followed by a holly laugh from the girl. Her father, she knew, held fear occasionally of height (bizarre it holds, but quite in truth), but added with fact of the sleigh's base invisible underneath -– well, that would only certainly magnify all fears. A matter of importance it existed not however to this young girl, for determined most she was to make this first chance one of the brightest. And so all aboard galvanized went she …
