Summary:
Anna is completely normal, except for a few things:
•
She’s a junior and hasn’t been kissed yet.
•
She doesn’t wear makeup.
•
She’s a foster child.
•
She has no opinion about today’s boy band pop—or the faulty artificial hearts turning people into “vampires”.
•
She’s on a high dosage of schizophrenia medication to keep her “vivid hallucinations” in check.
•
The first fifteen-or-so years of her life are missing.
•
According to medical records—or any records—she never existed.
•
Her name might not actually be “Anna”.
•
And her “vivid hallucinations” about people who turn into monsters aren’t hallucinations at all…
Not to mention that she gets suspended for a fight she can’t remember and misses a ride home with one of the cutest boys in the whole school, her best friend goes missing, and the next thing she knows she’s stolen her foster-sister’s car and is speeding down highway about to hit someone who parked in the middle of the road. This goes without saying that there’s a boy—a very, very cute boy—in the car, entirely unconscious.
What’s a completely normal girl to do?
