Iraq War
With every year that passes
more and more people die.
4,000 soldiers gone
With every bomb, missile, and grenade
426 Californians
98 women alone
Homemade bombs
1,733 deaths are the result
Innocent suicide bombers
Showing their loyalty to Allah
But how many soldiers were killed in friendly fire?
How many more people have to die?
How many children have to be killed?
These questions need answers
And our congress needs a heart
What will it take for them to realize,
This is no longer a war
This is now…homicide.
The anniversary of this war
And the anniversary of people who never got to see,
A brighter day.
